Beautiful stone country house close to Medieval Town of Bergerac on the Dordogne River. There is so much to do for kids and grown ups. The region offers anglers a host of rivers, waterways and lakes for fishing. As a visitor a great way to discover the history of Bergerac is to take the river barge trip from the old port.

Visit the lovely Bastide towns, explore the magnificent Chateaux, shops, restaurants, sample the delicious local wines. Visit the beautiful lake and sandy beach 10 minutes drive away. Lots of markets selling local products for you to sample.

There is a market every Saturday at Bergerac and the first Sunday of each month there is also a flea market near to the river. There are also many markets around the area in the small villages. Lalinde market on a Thursday is full of local produce. Shopping in these markets is must and just rambling around and sampling their cheeses wines and local produces is a must. During the summer months there is also entertainment and side shows at some of the markets, it is fun to go to these and sit in the local cafes and watch what is going on.

"Lovely house, good facilities, great holiday"

The house is delightful - spacious and well-appointed with everything that we could need in the kitchen and lots of toys for small children. We had a barbecue most nights sitting by the pool, and the living room was great for relaxing later in the evening. Montagnac La Crempse itself is tiny and worth a small stroll, particularly to the delightful garden behind the school, although there was more traffic noise than might have been expected for such a small village. It's a 20 minute drive to Bergerac and about the same to Perigueux, and all that they have to offer, and it's about 15 minutes to the lakeside beach at Lac de Neuf-Font.
