This beautiful stone house lies in a quiet country hamlet, 20 km north east of Bergerac and is ideally situated for exploring the Dordogne Valley. The house is safe and secure, the private pool is set in an alfresco area for outdoor eating and barbecuing with sun loungers and seating for everyone. There are videos, books, DVD player, TV, games for you to enjoy.
There are four spacious bedrooms in the main house: 1 double and 1 family room on first floor and one with three single beds and one family on the second floor. There are also cots available. In the courtyard attached to the house there is another double bedroom. It is all well equipped and tastefully decorated, a joy to relax and unwind in.

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region
There is lots of other medieval towns and Bastide villages and towns within easy driving distance, not to be missed is the magnificent Rocamador about a 45 minutes drive away, also Beynac castle built in the 12th century overlooking the Dordogne river, it is a sight to behold as is Rocamador, and the beautiful town of Sarlat, all within around an hours drive away, and not forgetting the magnificent countryside and the views.
There are excellent wine tasting caves and wine & tobacco museums. The entire region is steeped in history with famous caves such as Lascaux & Eyzies within easy reach. Beynac, Sarlat, Domme and other bastide towns along the Dordogne.

Beautiful stone country house close to Medieval Town of Bergerac on the Dordogne River. There is so much to do for kids and grown ups. The region offers anglers a host of rivers, waterways and lakes for fishing. As a visitor a great way to discover the history of Bergerac is to take the river barge trip from the old port.
Visit the lovely Bastide towns, explore the magnificent Chateaux, shops, restaurants, sample the delicious local wines. Visit the beautiful lake and sandy beach 10 minutes drive away. Lots of markets selling local products for you to sample.
There is a market every Saturday at Bergerac and the first Sunday of each month there is also a flea market near to the river. There are also many markets around the area in the small villages. Lalinde market on a Thursday is full of local produce. Shopping in these markets is must and just rambling around and sampling their cheeses wines and local produces is a must. During the summer months there is also entertainment and side shows at some of the markets, it is fun to go to these and sit in the local cafes and watch what is going on.
