About the home

We offer rooms for hire in Nordnes apartment. Here you can relax in one of Bergen's most beautiful streets. You will also be staying in the city center, in the Nordnes area.

In he house at Ytre Markeveien 25 we rent out:

- first floor (can sleep up to 4 persons). This include a living room with one sofa bed, a sleeping room with one double bed, TV, internet, Bed clothes and towels.

- ground floor (up to 2 persons with one room, one double bed, TV, internet, Bed clothes and towels.

- or first + ground floor (up to 6 persons)

First floor and ground floor share kitchen and bathroom/WC placed on ground floor. It is also a small balcony/terrace outside of the kitchen there you can have your breakfast etc.


Prices 2011-12:

Prices for 1-2 persons in First floor: NOK 700 (1th of October - 31th of April) or NOK 800 (1th of May - 31th of September). More then 2 persons: NOK 50 extra pr person/night

Ground floor: NOK 600 (1th of October - 31th of April) or NOK 700 (1th of May - 31th of September)

Price for first floor + ground floor: NOK 1400 per night

It is possible to rent one night (NOK 100 extra). If you rent for 7 nights, you will have one night free.

Ytre Markeveien/Nordnes is a very popular living area. In the street there is many old wood buildings and the area is charming, quiet and well suited for families. It´s only 10 min to walk to the to the fish marked and Torgalmenningen (the main square in Bergen). The medieval part of the city, Bryggen, is only 15 min walk away. The Fjord Norway region

You can arrive Bergen by air (Flesland airport), by train from Oslo, or the ferry from Denmark.

Bergen has a population of c. 250.000 people and is the second largest city in Norway. The city was one of the largest medieval city's in Scandinavia. Shipping and international trade has always been important for Bergen. Bergen has many tourist attractions like Mt. Floyen, the home of Edvard Grieg, Bergen maritime museum and historical sites like "Bryggen" (on the UNESCO list). The Nordnes area has many old wooden houses. Bergen is also the gateway to exploring the wild and magnificent fjords in Western Norway. Hardangerfjord & Sogenfjord. The apartments/rooms is located in the center of Bergen in walking distance of all the main attractions.
