The Hordaland region

Fjord Norway is an amazing region with everything you associate with Norway: Deep fjords, high mountains, glaciers and waterfalls.

This area was voted the world's most beautiful destination in 2009 and is one of the top destinations in the world.

There are plenty of different activities to take part in from skiing, to tobogganing there is plenty of different things to do if you are looking for thrills and adventure.

Surrounded by mountains, Bergen is a charming and beautiful city where nature is never far. But it is also a cultural city, with excellent museums, a highly active musical scene and a number of festivals throughout the year, the International Festival in May/June being the highlight.

Nicknamed the Gateway to the Fjords, Bergen is an excellent starting point for exploring Fjord Norway. A whole range of day tours are available during the summer season, and for those who come by car, there are endless possibilities!

"Very friendly host and great location"

I stayed here with my children. Yvonne was lovely, we arrived very late at night due to flight cancellations and Yvonne made us most welcome kindly supplying us with breakfast items for the next day. The apartment is small but that didn't bother us at all, it was within easy walking distance to all local attractions and in a lovely older part of town. We had a great stay and I would definitely consider staying at this apartment again.
