Ideal as a year round destination with plenty to see and do, the nearby Coastal Path makes it a good base for walkers with miles of paths to explore. The bay is a haven for those who enjoy water sports with the nearby villages of Moelfre and Benllech offering a range of activities and services.

The cottage is tastefully appointed to provide good quality accommodation with period style furniture and decor. The cottage is fully equipped to cater for all your needs.The courtyard setting with it's established gardens is for all to use and is a relaxing place to read a book.

The location at Fort Belan is very special with it's unique blend of quaint cottages, historic setting and outstanding position right on the shoreline of the Menai Strait. With it's own dock to explore, Fort Belan is a most interesting destination. The walls that surround the fort form a sheltered environment that makes it an ideal year round choice. It is minutes from the pebbled beach with miles of coastal walks to enjoy and you can even take a fishing trip from the fort into Caerarfon Bay.

The North Wales / Anglesey region
Anglesey has so much for you to see and do with a range of activities from sailing to walking. The island has so many attractions with something for everyone. Anglesey has such a fascinating history with ancient sites to visit that remind us that this part of Wales was once home to the Druids. Within 2 hours or so from the north west it is an ideal place to spend your leisure time whether it is a short break or your annual holiday.
The landscape is so varied with superb a coast line to explore as well as rolling countryside. The temperate climate ensures mild winters and good summers.
The Benllech area
1. Moelfre a shingle beach in a pretty town with a harbour and all facilities. Very sheltered. There has been a life boat station here for many years.
2. Traeth Lligwy, Dulas long sandy beach with some shelter. There is a cafe, shop, toilets and parking. The nearby ancient monument is worth a visit on the way.
3. Benllech a family favourite. A long and sandy beach, safe with endless facilities and even donkeys in the summer.
4. Red Wharf Bay has two beaches one reached through the Caravan Park, the main one is sandy, with channels and inlets. It is sheltered by hills and has a great pub and restaurant.
