The North Wales region

Anglesey (or Ynys Mon in Welsh) is an island on the North West corner of Wales. It is a peaceful holiday destination offering miles of safe sandy beaches, excellent walks including a coastal path which runs around the entire island, and there are plenty of historical sites and attractions to visit.

Benllech is a popular holiday village, with a lovely wide, sandy beach, and is just around the headland from Red Wharfe Bay. Local amenities include convenience stores, gift shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Nearby, is Moelfre. a lovely old fishing village famous for its lifeboat and stunning coastal walks. Dolphins can often be seen from it's pretty harbour.

Another local treasure is Lligwy beach which remains unspoiled, with just a shop for basic needs, adequate car parking and a wonderful safe beach.

Other nearby facilities include golf courses, lake and sea fishing, boating, swimming, tennis and green bowling. Snowdonia and the castles of Caernarfon, Penrhyn and Beaumaris are not far away, and a day trip to Dublin (by ferry from Holyhead) is also a popular option.
