The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Villajoyosa on the Costa Blanca in Spain is the historical and administrative capital of the marina baixa area. Villajoyosa means happy town. the town is located 32km from Alicante and 10km from Benidorm. Villajoyosa stretches out along side a sandy beach, bordered with palm trees and ends at its fishing port.
The economy of Villajoyosa depends both on shallow water and deep-sea fishing together with the tourism industry. The history of Villajoyosa has its foundation in the town's relationship with the sea. This history of life on the sea and overseas trade has also been a determining factor in the success of its other typical industry the chocolate.
Villajoyosa has preserved many of its typical customs like the afternoon fish auction and its colourful facades. This was done with the purpose of ensuring that the sailors could see their houses from far away. The typical old walled town centre in Villajoyosa is a good place to stop and walk around. Villajoyosa has more than 3km of beaches. The most famous beaches are the centro beach (downtown) both sandy and with the EU blue flag award for cleanliness.
The cove of Raco Conill is perfect for diving and naturism. Sites to see: The old town of Villajoyosa with its colourful facades. The tower, the old walls and the Roman bridges. there is also a Gothic/Catalan church. For food lovers: Apart from paella typical dishes to mention are: Fish stews and different rice dishes. the best place to find a good restaurant is in the port or on the beach. Salted fish is also very famous.
Benidorm / Villajoyosa area
Euro tennis is a short drive from the fishing town of Villajoyosa, in the area called Montiboli. Far away from the busy traffic and mass tourism, yet within easy reach of Benidorm and the large fairground park of Terra Mitica. Markets: There are excellent morning markets at Benidorm on Sundays, Altea on Tuesdays and Villajoyosa on Thursdays.

FISHING IN ORXETA
IMAGINE: Carp of up to 24 kg, Golden Carp, Black Bass, Barbel, Rainbow Trout, Eels and American Crayfish. are some of the species which can be caught.
WALKING : The route starts from the picturesque historic old town of Orxeta. This walk takes 5 hours and from 300 metres above sea level all the effects are rewarded with some magnificent views. When you have reached the top you are 678 metres above sea level. Here you can take in fresh mountain air and enjoy the views.

There is also a bus outside the hotel which runs on the hour into Villajoyosa
Conditions
Deposit of £100.(non refundable) is required when you book. The balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to your holiday. We also require an additional £150 against breakages/loss of keys, etc. when you send us the final balance payment. This will be returned to you when you hand back the keys when the apartment is checked

Absolutely wonderful apartment . Charles and Pauline have thought of every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with no expense spared , far beyond any other rental apartment we have ever stayed in. Charles has an excellent personal approach and his welcome and advice made us feel at home immediately.The location is idyllic 5 minutes from Villajoyosa and about 10-15 from Benidorm, with it own private beach cove . Euro tennis itself is perfectly placed with friendly and attentive staff. It is the perfect base for exploring the region of Costa Blanca and the surrounding area- there really is nowhere in the region which comes close and we shall definitely be returning. We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.

The journey was long but also very exciting. Thank you again for the wonderful two weeks we spent at the Euro Tennis. Everything was absolutely perfect. You have set such a high standard of a rental apartment that from now on it will be difficult to select any other place as they will not be able to compete with the apartment 215 at Euro Tennis. I definitely want to return there again, maybe next Summer or Summer after next.

Hi Charles, I thought the apartment was really great. The hotel is a nice complex in a handy position too. I was really impressed by the space in the apartment and all the extras which we didn't expect (sky TV, beer and wine in the fridge etc). I wouldn't say that you needed to do anything else. I will be asking if its free when I arrange my next visit and would certainly recommend it to anybody.
