Casa Maria Amelia is a spacious 3 bedroom villa ideally located in the village of Alfaz del Pi on the Spanish Costa Blanca near to Altea and Benidorm.
The accommodation is comfortably furnished with a large lounge, glazed nay, separate dining room, separate kitchen/diner, 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room) a twin bedroom and and a separate family bathroom. There is a satellite television system with free to air channels including BBC and ITV, a DVD player, music centre with CD player, cassette player and radio. The kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is an extensive barbecue area and a large garden with an orange grove and an ornamental fishpond in a 'secret garden' area. There is a separate enclosed area with washing line. The private 9m x 4m private swimming pool has an automatic cleaning system, a solar heated shower and terraces with sun loungers table and chairs.

Maria Amelia is located in a quiet residential area of Alfas del Pi yet is just half a mile from the Forum Mare Nostrum social centre that is open to the public and has a bar and cafe, restaurant, pool, darts, beauty centre, heated swimming pool and gymnasium. A further half mile is the town of Alfas del Pi with its numerous shops, bars and restaurants. There is a large market here every Friday where you can buy a wide range of fruit, vegetables, clothes, toys and souvenirs.

The nearest beach is at Albir, a lively and attractive seaside area with many pavement cafes and restaurants that is just three and a half miles from the villa. The sandy Levante beach at Benidorm is four miles and there is a regular bus service that travels a circular route between Alfas del Pi, Benidorm and Altea. Local taxis are readily available and the railway station is just a mile and a quarter with the trains running between Alicante and Denia.
Just before the Levante beach you will find the water park 'Aqualandia', sea world 'Mundomar' and the 'Benidorm Palace' that put on some excellent shows with dinner. Also in the area you will find the Disney style theme park 'Terra Mitica', Terra Natura safari park and the Medieval Castle where you can have dinner and watch the knights fighting on foot and horseback.

The Costa Blanca is renowned for being a shoppers paradise offering everything from fashionable clothes, leather goods, perfumes and wines as well as an abundance of fresh fruit, fish and vegetables.

Numerous restaurants, some with live entertainment, offer local, national and international cuisine. A trip through the valleys and up into the mountains among the pine forests and the almond and citrus groves provides some spectacular scenery, and there are always places to stop for a drink and a meal.

Benidorm is a short drive away and offers excellent shopping and nightlife plus the new Terra Mitica Disney style theme park. Coach excursions are available to these and all the other popular attractions.

The Benidorm / Alfas del Pi area

Maria Amelia is in Alfas del Pi, an attractive town near to the seaside towns of Albir, Altea and Benidorm on the Costa Blanca. It is just 7km from the motorway junction and 5km, 10 minutes drive, to the beach at Albir. The shops of Alfas are just 1500 metres from the villa. The journey from Alicante airport is 62km, nearly all motorway, and takes just 45 minutes. From Valencia airport it is 155 km and will take 90 minutes, again nearly all motorway.

Flights to Alicante are available from a number of airlines including AerLingus, BMI Baby, British Airways, Easyjet, First Choice, FlyBe, FlyGlobespan, Jet 2, Monarch, Ryanair, and Thomsonfly which operate from a large number of UK Airports.

There are now twelve UK Airports that offer regular, scheduled flights to Valencia from five different Airlines: British Airways/ Iberia, Easyjet, Jet2, Thomsonfly and Ryanair.
