About the home

A luxury 2-bedroom villa that sleeps up to 5 persons with 1 double bedroom and 2 single beds and a put-u-up bed - both bedrooms are air conditioned. Furnished to European standards with 2 shower rooms – one en-suite with air-conditioning in both bedrooms. Ideal for families or couples sharing.

There is a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen for those who prefer self catering with granite topped work surfaces and bespoke, white-wood fitted cupboards. However, as food and drink is very cheap in Goa, you may prefer to eat out at any one of the excellent restaurants or beach shacks which can be found in Varca or along any of the beaches.

The lounge/dining area/kitchen is all open plan divided by a hand-crafted, granite topped breakfast bar. The lounge area comprises a cane corner unit, coffee table and TV with Tata Sky. Relax with an evening drink on the balcony off the lounge area.

Please note: The shared outdoor pool does not have a lifeguard and children should be supervised by a responsible person. Anyone using the pool does so at their own risk. In order to maintain the pool it may occassionally be out of use whilst essential repairs/maintenance are carried out.

Conditions

A 50% deposit will secure your booking with the balance to be paid 6 weeks before your arrival date. Payment can be made into our UK Barclays Bank account or our Indian ICICI Bank account or via Paypal. However, Paypal do make a small charge for each transaction.

Please note the in case of cancellation the deposit is non refundable.

The Goa / West India / Goa region

Goa is located on the West Coast of India. Varca is situated in South Goa, about 35 minutes drive from Dabolim Airport and a 10 minute drive from Margao, which is the second largest city in Goa and a centre for travel and commerce. In the village of Varca there are various supermarkets, banks (ATM machines) chemists etc.

Explore along the South Goa coastline with stunning white sands and blue seas and you can find many empty peaceful coves for that true 'Touch of Paradise'. To get a sense of the history of South Goa take a tour to Old Goa with its fascinating temples and churches or visit the Spice Farm and help to bathe the elephants. The waterfalls at Dudhsagar are also a very popular where you can feed the monkeys and then take a jeep ride through the National Park before cooling off in the natural lake at the bottom of the falls.

Christian, Hindu and Muslim festivals are celebrated in Goa throughout the year which gives Goa an almost non stop party atmosphere.

For the holiday you will never forget, mix the mysterious experience of India with the sub-tropical beauty of Goa on the Arabian Coast.

Summer in Goa is from mid-March until the end of June. The monsoon period is June-September when approximately 250cm to 300cm of rain can be expected. Winters are from late November to mid February with maximum temperatures of around 26 degrees. The Arabian Sea stays warm all year round, ranging from 25-35 degrees.

The Benaulim / Varca area

Varca beach is a very tranquil, calm and peaceful place, far removed from the shores of North Goa and is located next to the popular tourist resort of Benaulim. For those who prefer not to cook, this charming beach resort has numerous beach shacks offering a variety of Goan dishes and seafood at reasonable prices as well some excellent restaurants.

For the more daring there are various types of watersports along Varca Beach including paragliding, jet-skiing, and boat trips to see the dolphins close up in their natural habitat. Dolphin-watching is extremely popular and a great way to experience them is on an early-morning cruise along the River Sal.

Varca is also home to some large four and five star hotels, which sit behind the beach amidst beautiful gardens and attractive surroundings.

Charter flights fly direct to Dabolim Airport, Goa from Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham.

Booking this apartment was very easy and as promised our driver met us at the airport and drove us to the apt which was clean modern and roomy with aircon and fans. The pool was lovely and clean. Walking distance to some fantastic restaurants where I had the best curry's in the world. Would definitely recommend and would go again.
