The Goa / West India / Goa region

South Goa is an absolute paradise. Over 15 miles of uninterrupted white sand fringed by coconut trees and backing on to sand dunes or paddy fields. Each section of the beach takes its name from the nearest hamlet or fishing village and in some places is as wide as a football pitch. It's the most non-commercial part of Goa and remains unspoilt, stunningly beautiful and a magnet for bird life. Thanks to its location next to the Arabian Sea, Goa sees warm and temperate coastal weather year-round, ideal for enjoying the beaches and seas, with little variation in temperatures.

Benaulim area

Have a wonderful day out on Betty’s Boat where you leave around 10am. Chugging along the River Sal out into the Arabian Sea and watch the dolphins, cruise back upstream moor in a cove where you will be served the most delicious garlic prawns followed by Kingfish and Rice and end with a boozy fruit salad of beautiful fresh fruit soaked in the local honey bee brandy Mmmmmm and drink..whatever and as much as you want all day for around £13 !!! now thats what I call a bargain. The area is teeming with bird life. If you love to take pictures of birds, make sure you get a camera with a decent zoom as there are plenty of opportunities to take great pictures.

Or perhaps you would like to go to the Spice Farm and see how all those delicious spices are grown and finish off with an excellent meal served on banana leafs. Ride on the elephants (see the photographs )you can even get in and give them a good scrub they love it and are happy to give you a shower in return, great Fun!!!

Another day out is to Dudh Sagar Waterfall where the little monkeys are always happy to come and see you.. provided you have some juicy tomatoes and bananas with you, walk over to the stunning waterfall and have a cooling dip with the locals providing you with cool beer and soft drinks .Bliss !! How to get there

Fly direct from Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham by charter airlines to Goa. Alternatively fly schedule from London Heathrow via Mumbai or Colombo with Sri Lankan Airlines.
