The Goa region
Susegard (relaxed) is the pace of Goans, marked by their peaceful unhurried nature and this mood only serves to enhance a holiday here, affording you a true chance to relax and unwind. The first attraction to Goa are its beaches - over 100 kilometres of coconut fringed secluded bays and sandy beaches which are lapped up by the warm Arabian sea.
The Portuguese colonisation of Goa over 450 years has resulted in a blend of Portuguese and Indian culture and is evident in its architecture, mix of religions, cuisine and social structure, all of which can be explored at a leisurely pace.
Benaulim area
Benaulim in a quiet fishing village, rural and peaceful and is an ideal beach holiday destination. Head to one of the nearby beach shacks at Benualim, Sernabatim or Colva beach to drink, read a book or watch the world go by.
If you would like to exert a bit more effort, head to the next village, Colva, for watersports and a small pocket of nightlife. You can also hire a bicycle and take in the beaches along the south coast.
Other highlights to include in your trip are exploring the local architectures such as churches, forts and temples. You will be enchanted by Goa’s wonderfully coloured homes; wildlife parks and sanctuaries; markets and festivals – Anjuna market is the famous weekly market held on Wednesday in North Goa. There are also Saturday night markets in Baga and Arpora.

I felt secure in this apartment complex. What a great apartment, bright, airy, clean and spacious. It really helped to have a cornershop so close by and it was a nice touch having the bicycles there, they were used everyday.
