A large furnished terrace at palm tree-top level opens from the living room, overlooking the gardens and swimming pool.

Zen Gardens is a recently built private development of villas and apartments near the centre of Benaulim village, 1.5 km from the beautiful beach, a pleasant walk through the village or a few minutes by rickshaw.

Both bedrooms and the living room have split level air conditioning, all rooms have ceiling fans with extractor fans in the shower rooms.
Electrical installation has been upgraded to include an automatic phase selector and inverter/battery backup in case of power failure. Ample lighting and power sockets throughout. Independent water heaters to each shower room and kitchen. Reverse osmosis filter providing drinking quality water.
Top quality towels, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils are provided.

Zen Gardens is a newly built, well designed private complex with swimming pool and children’s pool, gardens, car parking, 24 hour security and constant water supply.
The apartment’s two terraces, at tree-top level, are furnished with comfortable sofas, chairs, coffee tables, with parasol, fans and lighting, providing superb outside living space.

All above and long term stays i.e one week and more, rates include transfers by air-conditioned cars from airport or Margao railway station for a max. of 4 people, cleaning of apartment twice a week, which includes washing of floors, bathrooms and dusting furniture, and welcome hamper of eggs, butter, bread, tea, sugar, drinking water, soap and toilet roll.

The Benaulim / Benaulim Beach area

“Benaulim stands slap in the middle of the spectacular 25-kilometer pure white sand Colva beach, 7km west of Margao, Goa’s second city. Shelving away almost to Cabo da Rama on the horizon, the beach is lined with Goa’s largest, and most colourfully decorated, fleet of wooden outriggers... Zen Gardens is two minutes’ walk from Maria Hall crossroads, where there are fruit and vegetable stalls, a newspapers, pharmacy, bank/ATM, restaurant and bar, wine shop, rickshaw and taxi stands, and regular buses to Margao, Colva and the package tour resorts of Varca, Cavellossim and Mobor; A further five minutes leads to the village centre, where there are travel agents, money exchange, internet cafes, mobile phone shop, supermarket, German bakery, ice-cream parlours, hairdressers and a good choice of restaurants and bars, A further 10 minutes’ walk past the paddy fields leads to the beautiful unspoilt beach with a dozen or so “shacks” providing the best value food and drink in Goa, water sports and dolphins. Cycles, motor bikes and cars can be rented cheaply in the village.
Margao, which is only 10 minutes away by bus (Rs10) or rickshaw/taxi, is Goa’s second city (after Panjim) and provides a taste of the real India, particularly in its fascinating covered market. Colva, south Goa’s largest resort, is 10 minutes away by bus or rickshaw, or a pleasant 40 minute walk along the beach or through the lanes
South Goa is a beautiful, peaceful area (in contrast to the busy and more developed tourist areas in the North), with wild life sanctuaries, isolated beaches, temples, old Portuguese mansions, waterfalls, spice plantations and boat trips all easily reached by taxi or your own transport.
Panjim, the capital of Goa, which has excellent shopping and restaurants, and the World Heritage site of Old Goa, are an hour away. Benaulim is 30 minutes from the airport.
