The Goa region
Goa is India's smallest state, approximately 70 miles long (north to south). Once the jewel of Portugal's eastern empire, Goa still retains many of the ways of the old Portuguese colony.
This narrow coastal territory of coconut palms and quiet villages, nestles between forested mountains and mile upon mile of beautiful beaches.
The climate in Goa is most pleasant from November to February. Temperatures usually range from 21 to 32 Degrees centigrade with little or no rain !
Goa has many places of interest ; Dudshager Falls, Spice plantation, Old Goa, the capital Panjim which retains a very colonial feel, as well as over 32 beautiful beaches.
Spend the night in a beach hut in Agonda. Visit Grand Island and go dolphin watching , or go on a sunset cruise on the river Mandovi. Visit historic Hampi. The choice is yours !
Benaulim area
As well as the best beach in India,Colva and Benaulim have many things to offer. From fabulous local food and the freshest of sea food which are all served in the restaurants and beach shacks there are numerous eateries where you can enjoy live entertainment., from the 5 star Taj Exotica in Benaulim to karaoke at one of the many bars and restaurants in Colva.
South Goa has something for everybody. You can go shopping for food at the local daily market in Margao. Produce includes fabulous fresh fish caught daily and exotic fresh fruit and vegetables.
With its abundance of churches and temples, Goa is a melting pot of religious cultures and celebrations.
