About the home

First floor studio apartment to rent in the Iris complex, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena. Situated in the sought after Gamonal area, this apartment is in a perfect position to savour the delights of both resorts, being just ten minutes walk to the beach, five minutes to the fantastic Parque de Paloma. Shops, bars and restaurants very close by.
The complex has 2 large swimming pools, open from May to October which are protected by a life guard. Well kept communal gardens, 24hrs reception (English spoken). Parking.

The studio sleeps up to 3 adults or 2 adults and two children sharing a 3/4 sofa bed and comprises of a lounge with a pull-down, wardrobe double bed with fully sprung mattress that leaves studio space free during the day + three quarter sofa bed. Ceiling fan to keep you cool in summer and heater to take the chill off in winter. Large wardrobe space . Hi Fi system with CD and Cassette, English TV with scart socket and a Telephone to 24 hour reception where there is a safe facility if required.

Small separated kitchen with sink, the cooker is a 2-ring hob, no oven. There is a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster,crockery & cutlery .

Bathroom which includes WC, sink and walk in shower.
Electric heater provided for the cool days and ceiling fan for those hot days. Linen, towels, (not beach towels), iron + ironing board, hairdryer. Safety gate if needed
Table and chairs to use inside or out on the balcony. Side sea view when trees allow

Fantastic pool and gardens were you can picnic and sunbather under a palm tree and then stroll the the new bar, sit under an umbrella and admire the view to the sea

Arrivals - 2.30pm - Departures 10.30am. Whenever possible we try to make an exception to this rule for the convenience of all, depending on flight times.

TO MAKE A PROVISIONAL BOOKING, you should first phone or email us to find out if the dates required are available or use the online availability calandar above. Only the persons named will be allowed to stay at the apartment.

On receipt of the deposit we will send you an email receipt and confirmation of the balance amount payable. Name and number changes may be made, if agreed with us prior to arrival at the studio. Unfortunately if the rules are not adhered to, you will be asked to leave the studio and no refunds will be given. No more than four guests may reside at the studio during the rental period. A deposit of 25% is required to secure your selected dates. If your holiday booking is within 8 weeks then the complete balance will be required

Balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. directions and info files will then be emailed , together with the name and telephone number of the person managing the apartment.

Cancellations within 8 weeks of travelling are suject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations within 2 weeks of travelling are subject to 100% cancellation fee

.-We would strongly recommend that holidaymakers take out their own travel insurance as we cannot be held
liable for any loss, damage or injury that occurs during their stay in our apartments.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Its miles of beautiful sandy beaches and fantastic weather which have kept tourists flocking back year after year to resorts like Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella.

The Costa del Sol caters for young and old alike, offering a host of entertainment choices for the native and visitor alike. The coast boasts one of the highest concentrations of world class golf courses, to the extent that it is often dubbed "The Costa del Golf".

For families there are theme parks, including water parks, go-karting, safari parks and many beautiful public gardens. For younger visitors the main areas of attraction are Benalmadenas Puerto Marina & 24 hour square and Marbellas Puerto Banus. Both are very trendy and chic, but be warned the bars and clubs dont get busy until near midnight and stay open till dawn.

The areas history dates back to the Phoenicians and has since been inhabited by Greeks, Romans and Moors, all of whom have left their mark on the areas architecture and culture. Perhaps less well known is the areas culture, often in the shadow of its neighbour Seville, The Costa and the Malaga province are home to some of the finest Flamenco shows, bull fighting & tapas restaurants.

The areas infrastructure is well organized with the new Autopista del Sol providing access from Malaga to Estepona and beyond to Gibraltar. The old N340 coast road is a little slower but offers some lovely sea views as it winds its way along the coast. Links between Granada, Seville and Cordoba are easily accessible for those wishing to venture further inland.

The International airport has regular flights to most major cities and is located just 10 minutes from Malaga City centre, and is within 30 minutes by car from most other popular resorts on the coast.

The Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel area

There is plenty to do for all ages in and around Benalmadena. Here are some examples:

Miles of promenades where you can stroll or people watch in one of the numerous cafe bars. The marina with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Boat, dolphin and fishing trips. Torrequebrada championship golf course is minutes away, as is the casino with its top class shows. Paloma park with its lakes and roaming wildlife. Cablecars to the summit of Monte Calamorro. Falconry, horseriding, the crocodile park, Fuengirola zoo, aquaparks, the Sealife centre, marine park, jeep tours, go-kart racing, Tivoli World theme park, bowling, cinema, family entertainment centre, shopping malls. Benalmadena pueblo, Torremolinos, Malaga city, Fuengirola, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Ronda and and Gibraltar are all within easy travelling distance

Fly to Malaga - The Iris is 10KM from the airport and around 20/25 euros in a taxi. Check the price first .
If travelling light, catch the local train from the airport at just over a euro and then walk down to the Iris or take a taxi for around 5 euros.
