About the home

The apartment sleeps four comfortably with one double bedroom, a twin bedded room. This is a ground floor flat patio doors leading out onto a small terrace overlooking the gardens. Further down to the left is the swimming pool, which has a shallow end suitable for young children, and is surrounded by a grass sitting area.

Our apartment is situated between Torremolinos and Benalmadena. It is about 15 minutes drive from Malaga Airport, about 20 Euros (£18.00) by taxi.

Everything is supplied in our recently refurbished two bedroom self catering apartment, linen, hob/oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, toaster, iron, cassette/radio, television/dvd/sat tv. (please bring your own towels for use on the beach or around the pool). This is exclusive to 'Sol Montemar residents only so please enjoy it.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa del Sol is made up of 161 kilometres of Malaga coastline and is hugely popular as a holiday destination. With over 300 days of sunshine a year it's easy to understand why.

Malaga itself is a vibrant city offering plenty to see and do. It has great shopping and many attractions to visit including the Picasso Museum.

There are many all year round golf courses to choose from on the Costa del Sol as well as plenty of other activities including sailing, scuba diving and horse riding.

The Benalmadena / Carihuela Beach area

Through our main gate, turn left and three minutes walk down the road is the Carihuela Beach - miles and miles of it! It is reputed to be the best beach on the Costa Del Sol. Along to the left and about 5 minutes walk is the Carihuela Promenade with a great selection of fish restaurants, walking along it you can see local artists and stalls selling their wares. Alternatively if you turn to the right, about 15 minutes walk, is Benalmadena Marina with more restaurants and bars. Also here are the yachts of those poor millionaires who can't afford to stay in Puerto Banus (Marbella).

The area is well established with bars/restaurants and local shops, it is well served with buses and taxis for trips to Torremolinos, Fuergirola, Mijas (A typical white walls Spanish village in the mountains), Malaga and beyond. The service is good and the fares cheap. You can also reach Gibraltar in about 2 hours by coach/car.
