It is a well-respected and beautifully maintained urbanisation with 2 gardens, 2 pools and secure parking.
The apartment is one of the largest in the whole complex and offers spacious accommodation for up to 6 people. There are 2 balconies at either end of the apartment which have wonderful views to the sea and the mountains.
Only 15 minutes drive from Malaga airport and 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Arroyo town centre, which has a charming village feel to it ,is only 10 minutes walk away and here you'll find all types of shops, bars & restaurants as well as Tivoli World theme park, great Friday market and beautiful Paloma Park. A large choice of activities including golf, watersports, aqua parks are within short driving distance. Organised trips to Gibraltar, Granada, Ronda, Nerja are close at hand. Below the urbanisation there is a good choice of local bars and restaurants and a mini-supermarket.

This top (5th) floor apartment is in a low-rise residential block with lift to all floors. The apartment is one of the largest in the community and provides a huge amount of space for any group or family holidaying together.
Extending the whole length of the block, the 2-bed apartment has a very large living/dining space with full balconies at either end - both offering outside dining facilities and beautiful views to the sea in one direction and the mountains in the other.
The master bedroom has a double-bed and large built-in wardrobes. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and built-in wardrobes. There is a single Z-bed for a 5th person and the 3-seater sofa can sleep a child, making a maximum sleeping capacity of 6. There is a lockable safe to keep money and valuables.
There is a family sized shower room with extra-large walk-in shower, WC, sink & bidet.
Fully-fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. and dining area with dining table big enough to seat 8 people.
The lounge has coin-operated air-conditioning (€1 = 1 hour) and Satellite TV/DVD with all the usual UK free-to-view channels. English owned DVD hire shop with phone/internet centre 2 minutes walk from the apartment.

There are two shared well maintained gardens both with recently refurbished swimming pools. One pool is open all year round, the other from April to September. Both gardens are open all year round for residents use.
There is a small well stocked supermarket, 2 cafes/bars and an excellent Tapas restaurant within the community. There is ample road (parking bays outside the apartment block) and gated secure parking available at the development.

The Costa del Sol region


The Costa del Sol is known for its all year round climate and its amazing choice of golf courses. Arroyo de la Miel is a small town within Benalmadena Costa providing excellent access to all types of tourist activities up and down the Costa del Sol. The excellent local bus services provide regular and easy access along the coast and up into the white-washed villages of Benalmadena Pueblo and Mijas.
The local train service (CERCANIAS Malaga - Fuengirola line) provides access along the coast both to Malaga Airport and the city centre (25 minutes) and Fuengirola (20 minutes). There are plans to extend this service further down the coast in the near future. The mainline service (RENFE) in and out of Malaga provides access to all the major Spanish cities including Seville (2 1/2 hours) and Madrid. The new AVE high speed service (opened in 2008) reduced the journey to Madrid to 2 1/2 hours.
Malaga is a fantastic city and that shouldn't be overlooked on your trip to the Costa del Sol. It is undergoing a major redevelopment with an airport expansion and new Metro system currently being worked on. Skiing in the Sierra Nevada is possible up till April since Granada is only 2 hours drive away! There are also many travel/ tour operators who organise day trips to the major tourist attractions in the region, including the Alhambra in Granada and also to Gibraltar.
The Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel area
There is everything you need for the perfect holiday within a short walk or drive from the apartment. Benalmadena Costa has all the sea, sun and surf that you would expect from a typical Mediterranean holiday destination and everything that goes with that - cheap drinks, cheap food, all types of entertainment and night-life.
The flip side of that is that the area remains very Spanish and for the gourmet, there are all types of dining experiences to enjoy - Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Greek, Mexican, Italian...not to mention the great choice of local food, fish and seafood and, of course, tapas.
Benalmadena Costa also boasts the beautiful, award-winning marina, offering all types of water sports, pleasure trips, dolphin and whale watching safaris and fishing. It is also one of the premier night-life centres in the region and has many restaurants, discos and shopping centres. Other attractions include the SeaLife Centre and Selwo Marina theme park, home to dolphins, penguins, seals and other marine mammals species.
And a lovely walk along the promenade takes you from the Marina to the exotic Moorish style Castle Bil-Bil in one direction, and all the way to Torremolinos in the other along the Carihuela with its famous 'chiringuitos' (fresh fish restaurants).
Just up from Benalmadena Costa is the charming centre of Arroyo de la Miel with its squares, shops and restaurants as well as an ice skating rink and children's favourite, Tivoli World amusement park. Near the railway station is a cable car (teleferico) ascending to the summit of the 769-metre Calamorro mountain with its panoramic views of the Costa, Sierra Nevada mountains, and on clear days, the African coastline.
Down from Arroyo and just before the beachfront is Paloma Park - a haven for wildlife with animals and birds roaming free and living in harmony side by side - chickens, cocks, peacocks, ducks, geese, cats, rabbits and even the odd guinea pig. A lovely place for a gentle afternoon stroll around the lake and cactus garden followed by a drink and nibble at one of 3 cafes within the park. Very popular with families with its abundance of grass space for picnics and children's play areas and adventure playgrounds
Benalmadena Pueblo (village) is located on the mountain side, 200 metres above sea-level and boasts the most amazing views. An old, typical Andalucian village with steep, narrow streets and white-painted houses that retain a wealth of culture. The village has more than its share of attractions including museums, Castillo de Colomares (the folly lookout castle of Benalmadena Pueblo), a bullring, sports centre and a wide and varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
There are 2 fun-filled Aquaparks about 10-15 minutes drive from the apartment - Torremolinos and Mijas Costa.

The apartment is located in the small town of Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena Costa - only a 15 minute drive/ taxi ride from Malaga Airport. Flights to Malaga can be booked through many airlines from all major and most regional UK airports.
A taxi from Malaga airport taxi rank costs approx €25 but airport transfers can be organised upon request. The regular local (Cercanias) train service links the town with the airport with a train arriving/ departing every 30 minutes. Tickets can be bought at the self-service machines next to the platform (approx. €1.35 one way). The machines accept notes and coins (euros only).
The Benalmadena - Arroyo de la Miel train station is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. A taxi from the rank outside Arroyo de la Miel station to the apartment (5 mins) costs the local minimum flat fare (currently €5).
