The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa del Sol has the best temparatures in Europe. The apartment is located close to Tivoli world and at night the lights of the big wheel can be seen from the apartment. There are miles of safe sandy beaches and international cuisine to suit all palates. Lots of museums and as Malaga is the birthplace of Picasso you can visit the art gallery and his place of birth etc. There is a museum for Christopher Columbus, which can be seen from the church in Benalmadena village and visited easily by a short stroll down the church steps.
There are some great shopping malls along the coast, theatres, castles and of course bullfighting can be seen. Places to visit are Puerto Banus, where you can see beautiful yatchs and plenty of night life.
There are numerous day trips that can be taken for example Gibraltar, Rhonda and Africa. In the winter months Granada is ideal for skiing at the Sierra Nevada ski resort or visiting the beautiful l'Alambra palace any time of the year.

There is a bus service which runs from the resort to Benalmadena Port. Arroyo de Miel Village is close by and has all the restaurants you could wish for.
Benalmadena has 2 fantastic well kept parks with a mini zoo, picnic areas, playgrounds, boating lake and a cactus garden (must be seen).
Tivoli world is an amusement park with rollercoasters,ghost trains and lots of funfair rides and shows, if you have children this is a must and is only about 20 minutes walk from the apartment or if you take a car there is ample parking on site. There is also a cable car which you can take up the mountain to see a falconry show and have stunning views across the coast and Africa. The village of Arroyo De La Miel where you can enjoy lots of local activities. Selwo marina where you can go and see performing dolphins and seals. There are other activities nearby such as Horse riding, jeep safari and waterparks. Benalmadena marina has been voted the best in the world on a couple of occasions and here you can enjoy lots of watersports, bars,shops and fine dining. There are plenty of bars and clubs and is a very lively place. Whatever you are interested in this place has got it.
