Home description

Torrequebrada Hills is located in a quiet and peaceful area for daytime relaxation yet only a 5 minute car journey into Benalmadena. It has 2 terraces both of which have lovely sea views and there is a communal pool to cool down in and surrounding gardens to soak up the sunshine. The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk away, the nearest 18 hole golf course is 5 minutes in a car. A hire car would be an advantage for this property but it is not absolutely necessary.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa Del Sol is pretty much an all year round weather resort with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. There are plenty places of interest to visit or you can just relax and unwind. Malaga, Seville, Granada, Cordoba or the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter for skiing are all within easy travelling distances by car or train. The famous Rock of Gibraltar is only an hours drive away.


Benalmadena / Torrequebrada area

Benalmadena is split into three areas being Benalmadena Pueblo the old Spanish style village, Arroyo De La Miel the busy town area where you will find the train station and Benalmadena Costa, the beach area.

Benalmadena Pueblo has a quiet pace of life with white washed Spanish houses and a lovely square which is an ideal place to stop and have lunch. The church is worth a visit and outside has stunning views down to the coast. The local bull ring is here too.

Arroyo De la Miel is a much busier area with shops and restaurants. Tivoli World Amusement Park is in Arroyo and this is where they hold the local Friday market. The cable car runs from here and at the top you will be rewarded with a falconry display.

Benalmadena Costa is the coastal area where you will find the world famous Puerto Marina. There is plenty to keep the younger ones occupied with Sealife Centre, Dolphinarium, Mini Golf and the lovely Parque de la Paloma.

Malaga airport is only a 20 minute drive from Benalmadena. Airport transfers can be arranged to take you directly to the apartment you have booked but if you prefer to use public transport taxis are available right outside the airport. The train station is just across the road which would take you into Arroyo De La Miel.

There are a number of airlines that fly into Malaga. Easyjet, Thomsonfly, BMIBaby, Flybe, Globespan, Monarch & British Airways are just a few where great deals can be found when looking for flights. With budget airlines the earlier you book the better and if you register with each of the companies they will send you details of special offers as soon as they become available.

There is plenty of lounge and dining room space to accommodate 6 people comfortably. The lounge has a television with dvd player and the fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher and complete oven and hob. Bedroom 1 has an en suite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom.

The apartment has terraces on either side, one leading off from the dining area and the other larger one is accessed from the lounge. Both of which are south facing. Relax, read a book, sunbathe and enjoy the peace and the views. The larger terrace has a table and six chairs and a couple of sun loungers are provided.

Travel cots, pushchairs and highchairs are available for hire. £15 for 1 week or £25 for two weeks.

Airport tranfers can be arranged with an English speaking driver.

Other apartments available for rent from Studios to Villas with Private Pools.

Bed linen and 1 bath and 1 hand towel provided per week for each guest. Beach towels are not provided.


Conditions

A £200 per week non-refundable deposit is required along with a signed booking form detailing party members and accepting terms and conditions. The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.

Apartments must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure and are available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival. If there are no guests arriving or departing on the same day this is flexible.

"We have had a very lovely, quiet and good holiday in the apartment. A fantastic view from the terrasses over the area and the sea, which we enjoyed very much - especially in the mornings and the nights. The apartment is very well-equipped and with a lot of place for 6 persons. If the children and young ones don't want to bathe in the sea, then the pool and garden is perfect - with the possibility for overlooking the nice garden and pool area from the terrace. A perfect stay for people who wants quiet - away from the pulsing touristic atmosphere on the coast - and when you wish this atmosphere, it is only 2 minutes away by car, 20 minutes by walk - and now 5 minutes by local bus" Bent, Mariane and Family July 09


"The apartment is just delightful and very spacious. We had 4 adults and 3 small children and we still didn’t feel on top of each other. The agents welcomed us on arrival and were just a phone call away the entire time we were there. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival. The views from the apartment are magnificent – the pictures just don’t do it justice. We opted not to hire a car (due to cost) but this was not an issue as we were able to make use of the public transport – you can walk to the bottom of the hill and then grab a bus in either Torremmelinos or Fuengirola direction. They are so cheap it is so worthwhile – they run very frequently (every 10/15mins) and until late at night. We might see you again sometime" Alison, family & friends Aug 09
