About the home

Benalmadena Pueblo is a quiet, peaceful and very beautiful white village only two minutes by car from the beach. El Palomar is located near the centre of the village, the shops and local market are at the end of the quiet, safe deadend street. A large house with big terraces and a stunning rooftop it is a very special holiday home. The village is without doubt one of the most charming on the coast with many excellent restaurants including the regionally famous catering school that was awarded a gold medal by the King of Spain.

The house benefits from its own private dipping pool on the rooftop garden terrace which has stunning panoramic views over the Mediterranean. On the second floor there is another spacious terrace furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.

With a large master bedroom with walk in wardrobe, a second large double bedroom and a comfortable single bedroom El Palomar can sleep a large family comfortably. In addition with a big open plan kitchen/sitting room, an office and two large terraces El Palomar is a spacious house with stunning outside areas suited to the Spanish climate.

There are numerous excursions and activities in the area, from the cable car and newly opened Ice rink, to beaches, parks and golf courses. Whether for sea sports in the Marina, culture and history of Malaga old town or the nightlife Benalmadena is close to everything.

Two large outdoor terraces. One a rooftop garden with stunning views and private dipping pool. The acsess to the terrace roof is thrugh a steep ladder, not suitable for people with movility problems. Secure for children as we have install gates in every stairs in the house.

The Costa del Sol region

With more winter sun than anywhere in Europe and overlooking the Mediterranean there is nowhere better for a winter break. With Seville, Granada (winter skiing), Cordoba and even day trip to Morrocco all within two hours drive there are few areas in Europe with so much to see so close at hand. Malaga has been nominated as European Cultural capital for 2016 and has a beautiful old town, host many major concerts and is the regional shopping capital.

The Benalmadena area

With water Parks, Sealife, Benalmadena Marina, more than 50local golf courses, Tivoli World, the new municipal icerink and a endless list of local activities Benalmadena has done more than any other council in the region to provide for holiday makers. In Benalmadena Pueblo the regionally famous catering school received a gold medal from the King of Spain and there are in the village some of the very best restaurants in the area.

“Great location, fantastic view from roof terrace- very spacious.” We had a great week in October of this year with our 3 daughters in La Palomera. The house is very well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, tv with uk sky. The kids loved the plunge pool on the roof terrace where they spent many hours. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock reading my kindle as they splashed about. Very handy to main town. 5 min walk to bus stop and very regular buses all day. Public transport is very cheap in both trains and buses. We never needed to get a taxi anywhere. Local supermarket on main street supplied all the food and drink we needed. Kids enjoyed spending a few evenings in local internet café at £1.60 per hour per computer whilst we sat on terrace outside enjoying a few glasses of sangria. We went to 2 markets, butterfly park, Paloma park, cable car with bird of prey show at the top and on our last full day the kids loved going to Tivoli world amusement park. Something to suit everyone in this resort and we will be back again. Paul and Mar have a lovely home and are very accomodating with any queries. Paul even collected us from the train stop on arrival from the airport although I dont think he realised how much luggage we had and needed to do 2 trips from trainstop ( this was only 5 mins from the house!!!) Highly recommened.

“Perfect break in perfect village” We wanted a house with a pool in a Spanish village - and we got everything we wanted. The roof top area was perfect - the plunge pool was great, the seating area provided some shade and the views... more

“Great holiday house” We really enjoyed this house and especially the village which is very friendly, close to the coast but relaxed and Spanish. The top terrace with stunning views and the plunge pool is great.
