The Don Joaquin "Portwalk" apartment is set back up a quiet road. Wake up to be greeted by sunrise over the Sea whilst having breakfast on the spacious Terrace providing shade for family lunches and a warm peaceful evening setting for a romantic glass of wine or night cap.
The Nearby Wonderful Marina Voted one of the best in Europe is surrounded by numerous shops, Boutiques, Restaurants. The Marina is about 10 minutes walk from the Apartment.
The superb clean Sandy Beaches of Torremolinos and Benalmadena are within 10mins walking distance. Over 8Km of Beach and Promenade are lined with hundreds of Spanish barbecued Fish Restaurants, shops, Cafes, Bars (Chiringuitos).
A few minutes walk away from the Apartment is a multitude of supermarkets such as Lidl and shops satisfying all self catering needs. Lively entertainment is available in the nearby 24 hour Plaza with many multinational bars, clubs.
Visit the breathtaking and beautiful Spanish mountain village of Mijas by local bus for 1.25euro or car. Marbella, Puerto Banus are within easy reach, Gibraltar is 11euro return by coach .
Widely regarded as Costa Golf there are five nearby golf courses the most famous being the 6340 yard course at Torrequebrada 15mins by car.

Check In & Out times are usually flexible – However when Guests are departing and arriving the same day a 10am Check–Out and 2pm Check-In may be requested for Apartment Cleaning & Laundry.

Only persons specified on the booking form are permitted at the Apartment. Persons Under the age of 21 must not be left in the Apartment without parental supervision. Guests are liable for any loss or breakages a £50 Refundable deposit required. Guests responsible for safe return of the keys.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa Del Sol is a beautiful stretch of beaches and holiday resorts along the wonderful South Coast of Spain. Surrounded by the mountain range of Sierra Navadas a Micro Climate is generated which provides year round sunny Mediterranean weather and the snow capped mountains provide superb skiing.

The nearby Airport of Malaga provides air links to the UK of about two and a half hours. Destinations of Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Puerto Banus, Marbella and Gibraltar are easily reach by coast road or motorway.

The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Marina area

Benalmadena is the second closes major resort to Malaga Airport just past Torremolinos. The Marina and Costa area is Cosmopolitan and is home to holiday makers from all over the world. The Rich and famous have properties here and moor their boats at the Marina.

Benalmadena however still retains the Spanish traditional feel which has not been lost to Tourism. Architecture is Andalucían with white washed walls and terracotta tile roofs. The resort is divided into three main areas - The Benalmadena pueblo with its narrow streets and traditional Spanish houses.

Closer to the coast is the Arroyo De La Miel ( Stream of honey) which is a small modern town with numerous shops, restaurants, bars and Tivoli World which is one of the best these and entertainment parks on the coast. Here a cable car travels up the to the mountain peak with amazing panoramic views of Africa and on a clear day Gibraltar.

The prize is the Marina which has been voted best in the world with over 1000 moorings. Day and night the area is alive with activities with over 100 shops, restaurants, Diving School and renowned Sea Life Centre and
nearby is a Cinema, discos, Tapas Restaurants and bars popular with teenagers and adults alike.

Ease of access to great shopping, beaches, attractions, enviable climate make Benalmadena a premier Holiday attraction. Within walking distance along the promenade is Torremolinos with San Miguel Street and nearby shopping centre ideal for shop-aholics.

Throughout the year there are an unlimited number of festivals and events of Art, Music, Dance and during Siesta free beach parties can be found offering beer and paella.

From Malaga Airport (15mins) By Car/Taxi Via the N340 (Torremolinos) then the A368 Benalmadena Costa Road. Hire cars are available from Malaga Airport at a discount rate Via easyjet, Bmi, Jet2, etc.

By Train 1.25euro from Malaga Airport (5:30am to 10:30pm) choose El Pinillo Station. The apartment is then about 10 mins walk away.

By Bus via Malaga Bus Station to Benalmadena Puerto. The Apartment is then a few minutes walk away.

The apartment was perfectly situated, tucked away up a quiet little road but still very close to the beach, marina and several supermarkets and restaurants.

The complex was well maintained, the pool was clean and security good. I did not have a car but as everything is so close that was not an issue.

Most apartments appeared privately owned and family focused so there were no rowdies at night.
The apartment was very spacious, had everything you could have asked for and more. It was very clean and well maintained .
