Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel area
In the town of Arroyo itself you will find attractions such as the famous Tivoli World amusement park, which caters for all age groups. A cable car ride with falconry displays at the top of the mountain and the beautiful Paloma Park with its abundant wildlife. In the park you will also find designated play areas for the children, a dolphinarium and an open air theatre. It is also here, where at certain times of the year, the Spanish hold their fiestas. These are truly spectacular with plenty of dance, music and rides for the whole family. Stroll through the park and you will find yourself at the beach front where there are plenty more activities, such as paragliding, jet-skiing, pedal boat hire, fishing, water-skiing, wind-surfing, mini-golf etc. The fabulous Arabian style Marina is a leisurely 30 min. walk along the beach front offering boat excursions, trampoline bungee jumping and a Sea Life Aquarium. There are plenty of shops and restaurants here too. You will also find an abundance of restaurants along the beach front and in Arroyo itself, offering a truly international cuisine, catering for all tastes and where children are always welcome. For the shoppers amonst you, again you are spoilt for choice! Arroya has a wide range of shops and boutiques, and 3 weekly markets, a must for bargain hunters! A short train ride will also take you to the shopping meccas of Torremolinos and Fuengirola (where you will also find water parks), or to the historical city of Malaga. The fashionable Puerto Banus and Marbella are also within easy driving distance (45km). Finally, for the golfing enthusiasts, you can take your pick from the fifty or more high quality courses in the area. The Torrequebrada Golf Club is just a 5 min. drive away. Public transport is excellent with very reliable train, bus and taxi services. Further excursions can be arranged either independently or at the many agencies situated in Arroya. Weekly Markets: Wednesdays there is a large market in the park area. Fridays there are two markets, one in the park area and the other to the right side of the train station heading towards Tivoli World.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga Airport - Arroyo de la Miel is 15km from the airport or 20mins drive. Flights are available from most provincial UK Airports. A local train service operates every 30 minutes from the airport to Arroyo de la miel from 7.00am to 10.00pm, alternatively taxi and car hire are readily available at the airport. Further details indoors: This light and airy modern apartment is equipped with British Satellite Television. There is no air conditioning but variable speed ceiling fans are fitted in all rooms. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with ceramic four ring hob, oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and British style electric kettle and a washing machine. There is one double bedroom with en-suite and a twin bedded room with an extra roll away bed for a third child if needed. The fully fitted wardrobes and drawers provide ample storage space. There is a family shower room with toilet, bidet and sink. There is also a safe for valuables located in the main bedroom. High chairs & cots are available on request for a small extra charge. There is also an electronic video entry to the apartment.
Further details outdoors: Outside in the well maintained landscaped gardens there are 3 attractively fenced swimming pools. A large adult pool, an infants pool and a separate baby pool. The area around the pool is laid mainly to lawn with trees for sunbathing and finding the shade. There is also a garden Jacuzzi and toilet facilities. There is secure underground parking with a key operated lift access to the residential area, each lift serves only two apartments on each landing. There are also Squash Courts available within the complex.
Further details
A change of bed linen is provided at the end of each week. Towels & cot linen are not provided. Back to back rentals are not a priority and change over days are flexible although weekdays are preferred. Guests must vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of their departure (unless agreed otherwise) to allow for new guests arriving from 2pm onwards. Seasonal opening times apply to the ice-rink facility adjacent to the apartment.
Conditions
Clients wishing to smoke are asked to do so only on the balcony. Sorry, no pets allowed.
