If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday on the Costa del Sol, close to the beach, but away from the madness, then this is the place for you. Set in a quiet residential area of Benalmadena, but only a short walk to the nearest beach, Jardines de Carvajal is a group of apartments designed more like a typical white-washed, hill-top Andalucian village, rather than a modern holiday complex. It has shaded walkways that are attractively planted and is fronted by sweet-smelling mimosa trees. Carvajal beach is just down the hill from Jardines de Carvajal and is totally unspoilt and quite secluded (there are 2 restaurants/bars), yet you can walk all the way along to Los Boliches and Fuengirola beaches where there is a larger choice of bars and restaurants. The uninterrupted, panoramic views are amazing and as the balcony faces southwest, you can enjoy the afternoon and early evening sun gazing across the Mediterranean down to Fuengirola with a gin and tonic or sharing a jug of sangria!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa del Sol also known as Costa del Golf. Some fabulous, award-winning golf courses a few minutes drive from the apartment. An average of 300 sunny days a year makes this still the most popular destination with tourists from all parts of Europe. The Sierra Nevada mountain range is only 2 hours away. Ski in the morning, sunbathe in the afternoon! Although the area is geared up for the tourist trade, there is still plenty of 'the real Spain' to be discovered within easy travelling distance of the apartments.
Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area
Car hire is not necessary for your stay at Jardines de Carvajal as there is a bus stop on the main road, just down the hill from the apartment. Buses are very frequent, reliable and cheap and go to Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Other bus connections take you to Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo. In either Benalmadena or Fuengirola, you will find a great choice of bars, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, nightclubs, dancing and entertainment venues, karaoke, quizzes, bingo and sports shown on large-screen TVs. Benalmadena has peaceful Paloma Park for relaxed walks and wildlife (and people) watching! Tivoli Gardens amusement park is also there, with rides, food, concerts and flamenco dancing. There is also a great market in the Tivoli car park every Friday, and a flea market in Tivoli on Sundays (Sept - May). Benalmadena Pueblo, a typical Andalucian white-washed village is a short drive or bus journey away. Torremolinos and Fuengirola are only a few stops on the train. Carvajal train station is 10 minutes walk from the apartment with connections to Malaga town centre and the airport. The train fares are very cheap. Malaga itself should not be overlooked when visiting the Costa del Sol. It is great for shopping (particularly El Corte Ingles) and has a wonderful food market, Botanical Gardens and Alcazaba. Orgainsed coach trips to Seville, Granada (for the beautiful Moorish Alhambra), Gibraltar, Mijas, Ronda, etc, etc have local pick-ups. There are fantastic waterparks in Fuengirola (Mijas Costa) and Torremolinos - a great day out for all the family.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga airport from most UK airports. Taxi to Jardines de Carvajal will cost approximately 35 - 40 Euros.
Alternatively there is a rail service from Malaga airport to Carvajal train station every 30 minutes. Jardines de Carvajal is about 10 minutes walk from the train station.

Further details indoors: The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, 1 with twin beds. There is a double sofabed in the lounge which also has a pull-out single mattress underneath. This apartment is perfect for large families or 2 couples with children. There is a cot & high chair available to hire. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven, fridge, washing machine, microwave, etc. The large lounge/diner has 3-seater sofabed, arm chair, TV, dining table with chairs for 4 (more chairs and another table on the balcony). A welcome pack ( eg. tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, wine) is included in the rental.
Further details outdoors: The large swimming pool is surrounded by grass sun-bathing area and looks down to the sea. There is a communal tennis court for the sole use of residents. There is underground parking for 1 car and off-road parking too.
