About the home

If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday on the Costa del Sol, close to the beach considered to be one of the best in the area, then this is the place for you. Set in a quiet residential area of Benalmadena, but only a short walk to the nearest beach. Jardines de Carvajal is a group of apartments designed more like a typical white-washed, hill-top Andalucian village, rather than a modern holiday complex. It has shaded walkways that are attractively planted producing a real Spanish feel to the area.
Carvajal beach is just down the road from Jardines de Carvajal and is totally unspoilt and quite secluded. There is a local supermarket and restaurants/bars by the beach. You can walk along the promenade to Los Boliches and Fuengirola beaches where there is a larger choice of bars and restaurants, shops and nightlife.
The uninterrupted, panoramic views of the apartment are amazing and as the balcony faces southwest, you can enjoy the afternoon and early evening sun gazing across the Mediterranean towards Fuengirola.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, 1 with twin beds. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge which also has a pull-out single mattress underneath. This apartment is perfect for large families or 2 couples with children. There is a cot provided and a high chair available to hire if required.
The seperate kitchen is fully equiped and fitted with oven, fridge, washing machine, microwave, etc.
The large lounge/diner has a 3-seater sofabed, arm chair, TV, DVD/video player, dining table with four chairs (four more chairs and another table on the balcony).
A welcome pack ( eg. tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, wine) is included in the rental.

Further details outdoors:
The large swimming pool, with a seperate childrens pool is surrounded by a grass sun-bathing area and looks down towards the sea. There is a communal tennis court for the sole use of residents. There is also secure underground parking for 1 car.

Non-returnable 30% deposit required for confirmation of booking with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the arrival date.

The Costa del Sol region

Costa del Sol also known as Costa del Golf. Some fabulous, award-winning golf courses a few minutes drive from the apartment. An average of 300 sunny days a year makes this still the most popular destination with tourists from all parts of Europe.
The Sierra Nevada mountain range is only 2 hours away. Ski in the morning, sunbathe in the afternoon!
Although the area is geared up for the tourist trade, there is still plenty of 'the real Spain' to be discovered within easy travelling distance of the apartments.

The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area

Car hire is not necessary for your stay at Jardines de Carvajal. There is a bus stop on the main coastal road, down from the apartment. Buses are very frequent, reliable and cheap and go to Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Other bus connections take you to Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo.
There is also a train station in Carvajal just a ten minute walk from the apartment. Trains run every 20 minutes and there are stations covering all resorts between Fuengirola and Malaga. The fares are also very cheap.
In either Benalmadena or Fuengirola, you will find a great choice of bars, restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Nightclubs, dancing and entertainment venues, plus shops are plentiful. Benalmadena has peaceful Paloma Park for relaxed walks and wildlife (and people) watching! Tivoli Gardens amusement park is also there, with rides, food, concerts and flamenco dancing. A cable car provides a service to a viewing area overlooking the Mediterranean and Malaga. On a clear day you can see the coast of Africa and Gibralter. There is also a great market in the Tivoli car park every Friday.
Benalmadena Pueblo, a typical Andalucian white-washed village is a short drive or bus journey away.
Malaga itself should not be overlooked when visiting the Costa del Sol. It is great for shopping (particularly El Corte Ingles) and has a wonderful food market, Botanical Gardens and Alcazaba.
Orgainsed coach trips to Seville, Granada (for the beautiful Moorish Alhambra), Gibraltar, Mijas, Ronda, etc, etc have local pick-ups.
There are fantastic waterparks in Fuengirola (Mijas Costa) and Torremolinos - a great day out for all the family.

Fly to Malaga airport from most UK airports. The flight time is appoximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Taxis run from arrivals at Malaga and it is approximately 25 minutes by road to Carvajal.

Alternatively there is a rail service from Malaga airport to Carvajal train station every 20 minutes. Jardines de Carvajal is about 10 minutes walk from the train station.

The owners who have lived in Spain for the last twelve years and live near to Jardines de Carvajal provide a meet and greet service for all clients. Collection and return to the airport can be arranged if required.
