The Costa del Sol region

The aptly named Costa Del Sol has over 300 days of sunshine per year. This lively resort attracts visitors all year round.
Benalmadena is also ideally placed to visit further afield, with the scenic towns of Ronda, the cosmopolitan Marbella and posers paradise of Puerta Banus all within 1.5 hrs drive away.
In the Spanish town of Arroyo De La Miel (5 min walk) there are plenty of shops to enjoy with prices generally lower than the UK. Market day in Arroyo is Friday on Tivoli World car park.

Also known as the Costa Del Golf, this region boasts 9 local golf courses, 2 within 5 mins drive away.

The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area

Benalmadena has more than 8km of clean, safe, sandy beaches full of sun loungers and shady umbrellas to rent daily.

The apartment overlooks a delightful place for those of you who like to stroll, the Parque de la Paloma (Doves Park). This is a massive green belt area in the town and the only park on the Costa del Sol with free roaming Rabbits, Ducks, Hens, a collection of Emus, a pondful of Turtles and the Doves that gives the park its name.

The park also caters for the kids with lots of free space to run around in, and free use of its play areas containing swings, slides and various climbing frames.

Selwo Marina at the edge of Paloma Park has a Dolphin show, as well as, Penguins in an icy replica of the Arctic, Sealions and Children's activities. (entrance fee)

Central to Benalmadena Costa is the Marina designed in a moorish style. This marina as well as being host to hundreds of boats is the main nightlife area, full of discos, restaurants and a vast range of shops selling everything from designer wear to sunglasses and perfumes.
From the marina you can walk all the way along a flat promenade to Torremolinos, with plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. Yes, it can be a long walk, but the train back to Arroyo is only 1 euro 25 cents.

There's plenty of entertainment to amuse the kids, parents and the 18-30 brigade alike. Tivoli World amusement park in nearby Arroyo de la Miel has Wild West and flamenco shows. Next to Tivoli World take a Cable Car Ride to the top of mount Calamorro, where, there is a Rodeo show and a collection of Birds of Prey to see, as well as the best view of the coast.

“Another Excellent Holiday” This was our third stay in this apartment, that says a lot. The location is fantastic in the centre for the marina, the park, the gamonol and arroyo de la Miel. The apartment is very clean and superbly finished (my kids loved the SKY TV). “Excellent apartment, fab location, would come again!” We stayed at the apartment for a week with our young daughter, our friends and their two children - was worried we might all be a bit cramped but the apartment was really spacious - the photos don't do it justice! It was really nice to sit on the balcony in the evening and then relax inside before bed with the sky package - we enjoyed watching a film or two and the children loved having cbeebies, nick jr, etc after a long day at the beach. The place is so well equipped and we found the washing machine invaluable. Having a supermarket right next door was also a lifesaver! We enjoyed the short walk to the park and a nice stroll down to the beach, although we did sometimes take a taxi as with two young children the walk was slower than it should have been! There's so many places close by to eat and drink and it was also close to the train station - we got the train at the airport, took about 15 minutes to the station and then a 2 min taxi ride to the apartment, perfect! “Highly recommendable!” It was a really fantastic stay. My family and I have loved that place and especially enjoying our meals on the terrace. So the location is been perfect, not to far from the coast and still close to the full of life town centre. To be honest - if I could I would buy this place with everything what's inside ;). “Lovely apartment, great location,everything we needed for a wonderful holiday.” 6 adults and baby 1year old stayed in this apartment september 5 2011for 1 week. It is a lovely apartment lots of space ,beautifully decorated and everything we needed for our holiday.It's in a great location across the road from paloma park which we all loved with lots of birds,lakes and lovely walks.The apartment is beside a good supermarket and close to restaurants,bars and is only a short walk to the beach and lovely marina.It is also only about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi which was great.We had a wonderful holiday and hope to go there again. “lovely apartment. lovely position lovely place” We are a family of 6. One young child and three at university. The position therefore was perfect. Next to the park, which has play areas and tapas bars so all served well.The Apartment is tastefully done, spacious and airy.
