The Costa Del Sol offers the holiday maker a abundance of activity. Lovely sandy beaches and warm water, great food, wine and beer. Mountain range backdrop with cable cars to the top. Close too is the mountain region of the Sierra Nevada which provides the south of spain with its active Ski and snowboard season in winter. To the West near Tarife is popular coastline for experienced windsurfers and surfers.
One of Europe's best golfing destinations.The Torrequebrada Golf Club is just a 5 minute car ride with almost 40 other golf courses within 30/40 minutes, La Cala, Valderrama (Host to Ryder Cup 1997), Alhaurín and Mijas to name but a few.
The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area
Villa Una Maria enjoys an excellent location close to all local amenities and many superb attractions. There is much to do and many spectacular places to visit during your stay at the villa. These include:
·The beautiful sandy beaches that are only a five minute walk from the villa.
·Paragliding, water skies and other daily water sports activities.
·Leisurely walks on the local promenades.
.Experience the truly spectacular Telecabina Benalmadena and the breathtaking views of the Coast (with an altitude of 724 metres, it links Arroya de la Miel with the top of Mount Calamorro).
·Visit the Sea Life Aquarium at the local Marina.
·Take a trip to the Tivoli World amusement park in Arroyo de la Miel.
·Enjoy the fantastic water shoots, slides and rapids at the Mijas Aqua Park.
·Visit the world famous Puerto Marina which has 1000 moorings and is considered to be one of the best marinas in the world. It boasts an abundance of restaurants, bars and nightlife for all ages.
·Explore the picturesque white villages of Mijas, Benalmadena, Coín and Ronda or the beautiful ports of Marbella or Puerto Banus
·For those wishing to travel further in the region, trips to Sevilla, Granada, Gibraltar, Tangiers, Frigiliana and Nerja (caves) can also be booked locally.
Golf:
Villa Una Maria is a golfers dream, ideally located close to a wide variety of golf courses including many world famous golfing destinations. The Torrequebrada Golf Club is just five minutes from the Villa and there are about forty other golf courses within a thirty to forty minute drive. These include La Cala, Valderrama (host to the Ryder Cup in 1997), Alhaurin and Mijas to name but a few. Golf trips and associated arrangements can easily be arranged, as required.

By Car
Exit from Malaga Airport stay in the right lane passed the San Miguel beer factory. Take the next exit right onto the N340. After about one kilometer you will see a large blue sign for ALGECIRAS get into lane and exit right up the hill onto the autopista.
Follow the motorway for about five or ten minutes you will see the exit sign for Benalmadena (Arroyo del la Miel) take this exit and you will come to a roundabout exit left under the autopista, Straight ahead at the next roundabout and at the next roundabout exit right. (Gasolinera Tiger)
Follow the road straight 150 meters; on your left side you will see an island with large silver balls. Turn left (sign posted Urb Miramar) continue on to the next roundabout turn right, straight ahead through the next roundabout and at the next roundabout turn right.
Straight ahead you will come to a roundabout with a large copper dome go straight ahead and follow the signs for the Playa and the Casino of the Torrequebrada Hotel.
As you descend towards the coast you will come to a large roundabout with tennis courts and the Mercadona Supermarket on your right. At the next set of traffic lights turn right; follow the road through the next crossroad, up the hill to a roundabout. Take the second exit right off the roundabout and the house is up the road on the left hand side.

We found this to be our ideal holiday home for 10 adults. Plenty of room for us all and enough toilets and bathrooms to share. The patio with large table and ten chairs was great for us to eat outside. Very well equipped kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and the caretaker Lee was very helpful and friendly. |

The villa had great space for us considering 11 people were staying. The children and adults alike enjoyed the pool and terrace area and the facilities within the villa were excellent. It was close to the beach and many restaurants and bars. The only downside was the hill from the beach and supermarket especially when you are carrying water for 11 people. Regardless of this we would stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends. The caretaker who welcomed us was very friendly and was able to advise us of local amenities. All in all we had an excellent holiday in a superb villa. |
