This spacious 3-bedroomed house is located near the Arcos de la Perla area of Benalmadena; an authentic and relaxing Spanish residential area with terracotta walkways leading up to the house.
Once through the front door you enter into the lounge/dining room where you can find the kitchen, bathroom and first double bedroom. From here you can access the beautiful, large terrace – perfect for sunbathing during the day and watching the sun set over dinner in the evenings.
Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with ensuite plus a small balcony. The second double bedroom with a bathroom opposite is also on this floor.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans and the lounge has air conditioning making your stay during the hot summer months a comfortable one.
A short walk out of the front door and you will find yourself by the gated, residential large clean pool dotted with sun loungers, palm trees and showers. You can easily spend most of your holiday here!
Venturing outside of the house you have a variety of local beaches approx 1km away and the beautiful Arabian style marina (7km). Here you will find a large variety of restaurants, bars and shops, another excellent beach and a beautiful sea front walk where you can find even more restaurants.
For those wanting to enjoy some historical culture, only 1 Km away is Benalmadena Pueblo – a beautiful old Andalucian village of Benalmadena. Set high up, the views towards the sea are glorious and you can easily take your pick of the various cafes and restaurants. There is also a really good museum here and a visit to Pueblo is a must during your trip.

We stayed at Casa Milana with our two teenage sons as a base for a holiday and some business. The house is at the top end of the Arcos de La Perla complex and about a two minute walk away from the excellent communal gated pool complex. The accomodation consists of three nicely furnished double bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The master bedroom has a balcony with table and chairs and an ensuite bathroom with wc, bidet and over bath shower. The other upstairs double has a separate bathroom with wc, bidet and over bath shower. The downstairs double has a separate bathroom with shower wc and bidet. All bedrooms have comfortable double beds, more than adequate cupboard and drawer space, bed side tables and over head fans to help cool the rooms. The lounge and dining area are of a good size with sliding patio doors out on to an excellent sized patio with sun beds, parasol, dining table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue. The kitchen is a good size with an excellent fridge freezer for a self catering property, dish washer, washing machine, electric oven and hob, micro wave, toaster and kettle. Plenty of cutlery and glassware to do six people for two meals. There is a front patio with washing lines to hang out towels and laundry etc. at the end of the day. The star of the show is the gated pool complex. Here is an excellent kidney shaped pool with sun loungers, straw parasols, showers. toilets and grassed areas. Even in the hight of the summer tourist season this area was not crowded and we always managed to get a sun lounger. This area was so good that we never went to the beach. You will need a hire car if you are to really benefit from staying here and there is good covered parking to leave your car. The complex is gated with access via an entry "blipper" so all is pretty secure. There is a Kwiksave about 1 Km away which sells a fair range of British Goods if you cannot manage without marmite and PG tips, and shreddies, etc. There are also good supermarkets such as Carrefour and Mercadona within a short drive with a much wider range of produce. We ate out on several occasions and would highly recommend the Restaurant La Fuente in Benalmadena Pueblo and also the Cafe Bar Manaos. Both are in the Plaza Espana. The first is twice the price of the second but worth every penny and we had our last night meal here as a treat. It is deservedly very popular so make sure you book. Cafe Manaos serves good quality cafe type food, with excellent service and we had some great swordfish steak here along with excellent Sangria. We mangaed to visit Gibraltar, the Alhambra Palace in Granada, the Aqualand Park in Torremolinos and also went on an excellent off road tour in the mountains through a company called Monte Aventura. This last was a very special trip and quite possibly the highlight of our holiday. A word of advice to all us English unused to Spanish Hours. They eat and go to bed very late in the evening. It is not unusual for them to still be up and chatting on the terrace at 1:00 am. If you can manage it, try and convert to Spanish time for eating and sleeping. That way you will not be frustrated by late night revellry. Would I reccomend this property? Absolutely and we would be back here like a shot if we come back to Benalmadena. |
