The complex of Minerva is one of the most sought after destinations in Benalmadena due to its beautiful gardens and huge tropical swimming pool with its own smaller pools for children and toddlers/babies. The pool is protected by lifeguards and has its own poolside bar. There is also a small shop on site selling pool toys, books and confectionary.
The building is served by 4 lifts and a staircase for easy access to each floor. The building has its own car park although you do not need to hire a car as everything is available locally within a very short distance.
Locally there is a large selection of supermarkets, bars and restaurants.
Local attractions include the Spanish village of Arroyo de la Miel and the Parque de la Paloma where you can enjoy the walkways around the beautiful lake and watch the birds and the animals whilst the children play in either of the 2 playgrounds.
Why not watch the dolphins and seals perform at Selwo Dolphinarium where you can also visit the igloo with the penguins inside. There is also a fabulous playground and a cafe.
The theme park at Tivoli World is a fun day out and again you can either walk there or catch the road train which will take you there.
Another trip (not for the faint-hearted!) is a trip in the cable car that takes you 600metres up the side of Mount Calmorro. At the top you will be impressed with the stunning views over the coast and the birds of prey demonstration.
A 10 minute walk will take you to the beach with its European Blue Flag status. A little further on and you will arrive at the Puerto Marina which has twice won the prestigious "Best Marina in the World" award. A visit to the Sealife Centre is fun for the little ones!
You can make this holiday as cheap or as expensive as you like as there is a good choice of places to go at little or no expense.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is one of the most famous coastal regions in the world. With its 300+ days of sunshine each year it is easy to understand how it derived its name! The province of Malaga lies within the Moorish region of Andalucia (which in itself is a stunning region to visit). If you are looking for sunshine then look no further.
The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area
Benalmadena lies on the Costa del Sol, just a 20 minute drive from Malaga airport. It is made up from 3 completely contrasting areas: Benalmadena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmadena Costa.
Benalmadena Pueblo is a typical Andalusian village set in the mountains with a selection of monuments, museums and a local church that are worth a visit.
Arroyo de la Miel is the village situated between the old town and the coast. It is famous for its popular attractions (eg Tivoli World, Teleferica) and is just a 5 minute walk from Minerva.
Benalmadena Costa is the stretch of coastline that runs between Fuengirola and Torremolinos. You can stroll along one of the most attractive promenades in Europe from the Parque de la Paloma to the Puerto Marina that has twice won the prestigious "Best Marina in the World" award. The Marina's fabulous array of shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars, Sealife Centre coupled with its European Blue Flag status make it worth a visit.
Parque de la Paloma is the park that has something for everybody at no cost. Fabulous walkways take you around the lake where you can see a large selection of birds. With everything from peacocks to rabbits hopping freely around you the children are kept entertained whilst the adults can enjoy a coffee or beer in one of the many cafes. There are some great play areas for children who like to climb and swing. At the opposite side of the park you will find Selwo Dolphinarium. Here you can watch the dolphins and seals enchant the children and even visit the penguins in the igloo. Selwo has a wonderful park for the children in which they can climb and tunnel underground.

Special Long Winter Stay Rates are available (1 Nov - 2 April) at £125 per apartment per week. Please note that the large pool may be closed during the winter.
May to September changeover day is normally Sat or Sun. These can be flexible but by special prior arrangement only.
The apartment is available from 2pm on the day of arrival and it must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure (Where possible we try to be flexible and special arrangements can be made where there is a void between bookings).
