About the home

The Accommodation is a family owned studio on garden level that sleeps 4 comfortably. it has easy access to the gardens and pool from the balcony which makes this apartment suitable for elderly and young children. There is a glass partition to the double bed sleeping area, with white fitted wardrobes that contain both drawers and hanging space, and a fully tiled bathroom.

You can feel confident in the knowledge that the complex has a 24 hour reception with English speaking staff and security guard patrols the grounds at night.

Minerva has one of the best swimming pools on the Costa Del Sol with lifeguards in attendance (there is a charge for sunbeds). You can relax with a cool drink or snack at the pool bar, also in the reception you are able to use the internet.
Benalmadena is in easy access to the excellent golf courses along the Costa. Torrequebrada golf course and the Casino are just just 10 minutes along the coast road towards Fuengirola.

25% deposit of total booking to be paid within 7 days of booking confirmation payable by cheque or direct bank transfer, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival in Spain.
Full payment can be made in sterling by cheque or direct bank transfer. Payment can also be made in euros into Spanish bank account.

Bookings are Saturday to Saturday with check in at 13:00 and departure by 10:00.

We strongly recommend that clients take out their own travel insurance as we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury that occurs during your stay in our Studios.

Damages should be reported to our local representative, charges may be incured if applicable.

The Costa del Sol region

Much of the proof of Benalmadena's ancient history has been carried into modern times through the remains of the three watchtowers still evident along jutting rocks along the coastline. Both the Phoenicians and the Romans used these towers in their day.

Arroyo de la Miel still displays the remains of a Roman archway, which leads the way into the important building called La Tribuna. During the time of the Arabic rule, the town was named "Ben Almedana" meaning sons of the mines. Until the time of its destruction, the Castle of Benalmadena was a great defence fortification against intruders.

The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area

Arroyo de la Miel Tree lined avenues, shops, banks, tapas bars and businesses away from the tourist area, this is part of the real Spain where the locals live and work. Some of the residential streets slipping off the main thoroughfare are quite beautiful with magnificent floral displays.

Paloma Park A beautiful landscaped park 3 to 4 minutes walk from the Minerva Jupiter apartments with a large lake, various animal enclosures and aviaries .
Tivoli World Theme park in Arroyo. Loads of rides and entertainment for all ages, in the summer months this opens in the evening and carries on until about 2 or 3am.
Arroyo cable car Not to be missed with fantastic views of the Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola coastline and with donkey rides at the top.

Arroyo Market Every Friday morning next to Tivoli World. Go get a bargain.

Water parks There are two water parks nearby one in Torremolinos and one at Fuengirola. Great fun for all

Rail Services There is an excellent inexpensive rail service along the coast between Malaga and Fuengirola

Benalmadena Marina Definitely worth a visit. This beautiful marina (twice voted the best in the world) has both small and large boats to see while you stroll around the harbour. There are also many excellent bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal and take in the views.

Gibraltar Regular bus trips from the Minerva apartments take about 90 minutes. Excellent duty free shopping, much cheaper than the airport. A guided mini bus tour of the rock is highly recommended.

Sealife Aquarium Located next to Benalmadena Marina, here you can discover the fascinating world of the shark and tropical seas, also hand feed the manta rays.

Fly to Malaga airport
A taxi to Minerva takes about 15-20 minutes and costs about 25 euros
Public transport is cheap in Spain and there is a train that runs from Malaga along the coast, from the airport you would need to get the train to Arroya then either take a taxi for approx. 5 euros (there is a taxi rank outside the station) or it is a 15min walk to the apartment.
There are plenty of car hire companies at the airport but you would be advised to book online.
