On the ground floor the well-equipped, fitted kitchen has modern conveniences including a microwave, oven, extractor , dishwasher and large fridge-freezer. Granite worktops and tiled splashbacks throughout. The small utility area has a washing machine.
All the rooms have tiled floors with rugs throughout.
In the living room a large comfortable L-shaped sofa with contemporary coffee table which converts for meals has satellite television, DVD player and video.
All bedrooms are a good size, equipped with built-in wardrobes and fans.

The Costa del Sol region


300 days of sunshine, lots of great local restaurants with varied cuisine, excellent fish - from great value cafes to upmarket restaurants.
Amazing places of historical interest within a couple of hours drive such as Granada, Seville, Antequera and Cordoba. Malaga, a short drive or train ride has fantastic food, amazing city walks, historic centre, lovely beaches and the newly opened Picasso Museum - well worth a visit.
Torremolinos nearby has great nightlife. Closer to home, Benalmadena Costa has a wide selection of restaurants, bars, clubs and a glamorous Marina. Arroyo, the nearest town has good shops, restaurants and a famous theme park for children, Tivoli World where cable cars take you to the top of the mountain for walking, views to Gibraltar and Africa and bird of prey displays. Also in the town, Selwo a marine wildlife park. Fuengirola zoo is nearby.
Picturesque mountain village of Mijas, just 15 minutes drive. Marbella, Puerta Banus are just a short drive. Gibraltar is 45mins by car. Several world class golf courses are close by.
Great walking and countryside nearby, white mountain villages as well as terrific beaches.
The Benalmadena / Benalmadena Costa area
Wide selection of clean sandy beaches with good swimming, sun beds and beach cafes, including a nude beach. Lovely peaceful white village at the top of the hill with a sweet little museum, fantastic village square with good restaurants for dining alfresco beneath the orange trees. Great supermarkets and local shops nearby as well as a few local markets.
Picturesque Mijas close by has spectacular views, good walking, museums, and excellent restaurants.
Good shopping centres a short drive with wide selection of international shops.

We would like to thank you so much for letting us stay in your house, cannot fault anything, all was wonderful, the house, the pool & beaches, the weather, the food, and surroundings. We absolutely loved it and would love to go again next year.
We hired a car at the airport from carjet,(as you advised) and it was great. Together with the useful info & map you sent me, we managed to get about quite a lot, visited my sister & family, who live in Malaga, we even managed to go to the famous yearly " Feria" on our last Saturday.

We had a great holiday at your house and found it spacious and well equipped. The house is in a good quiet location but is within easy travelling distance to all the amenities you would need.

Roy's place was just the ideal place for the break I was after. The house is a manageable size and has a patio and a lawn, ideal if you don't want to go too far. The place is full to bursting with maps,guide books and information on places worth a visit which I found really helpful.
The location acted as a perfect launch pad for visiting so many diverse places. Ronda in the mountains was breathtaking,the Alhambra at Granada was beautiful and can be done in a day ( a long day) and we
discovered some lovely beaches towards Marbella.
All in all I would highly recommend the place. The house itself is great and the surrounding area offers so many different ways to spend your holiday.

Would like to say that we had a brilliant time at El Valle de la Perla, the house was very clean and everything was in great condition. All the information provided was most helpful. Don't have any negative comments, the pool was great and only a few steps away from the house.
We would definitely return if staying in the area again.
