As you can see from the photograph Santa Ana is just across the road from the beach so has stunning sea views. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby from your typical Spanish chringuito (beach bar) with freshly cooked sardines and other fish dishes to restaurants offering international cuisine. Although this apartment is marked as smokers welcome smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. We ask our smoking guests to use the outside space and thank them for their co-operation.

Travel cots, pushchairs, high chairs, sun loungers, beach umbrellas, cool boxes, fans are all available for hire. Enquire about rental costs.

Other apartments available for rent from studios to a villa with private pool.

Bed linen and 1 bath and 1 hand towel provided per week for each guest. Beach towels are not provided but are available for rent at a cost of €2.50 per guest per stay.

The Costa Del Sol is pretty much an all year round weather resort with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. There are plenty places of interest to visit or you can just relax and unwind. Malaga, Seville, Granada, Cordoba or the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter for skiing are all within easy travelling distances by car or train. The famous Rock of Gibraltar is only an hours drive away.

The people who visit Benalmadena return year after year as the area has so much to offer.

Cultural Activities, Malaga City open top bus tour, the Picasso Museum, Granada - Alhambra Palace,

Ronda, Seville and much more. Benalmadena even has its own Open top bus tour and a local museum.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday. The supermarket is about 10 minutes walk away along a flat road, no hills to climb. We would love to welcome you back to Santa Ana and Benalmádena again sometime and to make holiday life easier if you do come again you will find a shopping trolley in the apartment. "Great Find in Benalmedena"

Location could not be better, very central, effortless to beach and bus stop almost outside, choice of restaurants and bars right of on top of you…..yet the view from the balcony begs for al fresco breakfast and is perfect for sundowner's , large airy bedrooms with AC that we never used as the cross breeze was enough, especially with the large fans provided, comfy sofas and formal dining tables, masses of kitchen ware and cleaning equipment. Safe deposit box and ample storage along with the all-important good quality strong hangers and chest of drawers and spare shelf space etc. Hot water did not fail us, dishwasher and clothes washer but also laundry service downstairs. For scuba note the Padi dive shop is right below you! Yes Ave Antonio Machedo is a main road but being on 2nd floor you feel away from the traffic and noise did not affect sleeping with the windows open and the roll down blinds in place. Great family sized bathroom with good lighting. Would go back as entire party was extremely happy plus smooth airport transfers, found correspondence and booking service efficient and professional. For the price you'd be hard to go wrong here.

"Spacious apartment close to beach with many restaurants close by, no driving required!"

We are booking again for next year so that is a recommendation! The three bedroom apartment very spacious, clean and even a welcome pack on arrival. There are steps up to the apartment from the road and once you go in as the apartment on first floor but only seemed an issue when first lugging up your cases and wanting to get there not an issue thereafter. Although on the main road we only noticed the traffic noise at busy times but when windows and shutters down at night not a problem and lets face it we were not there to stay in the apartment all day when a beautiful beach was just across the road! No pool but we are beach fans and had fun haggling with the lookey lookey men, which broke up the day, as there is only so much sunning and Hello magazines a girl can take and who can turn down a bit of shopping! Loved walking along the promenade with the sun going down and around the Marina. If you are a little adventurous try getting the train from Airport as only around 2 Euros one way to Benalmadena station, then a taxi to the apartment.

"Lovely base for your costa beach holiday."

Lovely safe appartment location idealy situated across the road from the beach at Benalmadena. Kids( 13/15 ) found plenty to do in the evening time. Appartment clean and bright with a perfect view out to the ocean. Spent most nights on the balcony. Although being on the first floor above local bar/restraunts and adjacent to a busy road, the noise at night time was very little and certianly didnt disturb us.
Altogether a pleasure to stay in!

"Fantastic week in Benalmadena at the Santa Ana"

From the minute you arrive the Santa Ana apartment is like a second home. it is extremely well equipped for a self catering week in Benalmadena. The décor of the apartment is neutral with Ikea furniture with lovely colourful home touches and loads of pictures, it has loads of storage space and the UK TV was good to catch up on news at home. As there were 5 of us, we never felt as though we were cramped or crowded, the mini en-suite in the 3rd bedroom was great too and everything was spotless. The only thing missing was wireless internet access but many bars offer this along the front.

The sea views are lovely with loads of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. You could avoid the many hills if you turn right when leaving the apartment and it was easy to get to the flat promenade across the road and down a flight of stairs.

I'm not going to lie, the main coast road can be heard in the apartment from rush hour in the morning to the evening rush hour so if you want a quiet secluded apartment this is not for you. However we were a female group ranging from our 20s to 50s and we loved sitting on the balcony with a beer/schnapps and people watching. The kitchen allowed us to cook some nights and prepare breakfast but we also ate out a lot, the Santa Ana apartment gave us that choice.

The apartment location felt really safe as it is located within a gated community and we were able to park our hire car straight outside. The beach straight across the road had sunbeds for hire for 9e per day for two so having no pool didn't affect us that much.

Upon our arrival Ann and Nigel were waiting with keys and within 5 minutes of arriving we were drinking the lovely welcome bottle of wine, the smoothest arrival at an apartment I have ever had. Ann and Nigel were wonderful and when we needed them over the course of the week they responded immediately, yet at the same time left us to enjoy our holiday and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise.

It was my first time in Benalmadena as I normally stay further down the coast but I was surprised at the amount of choice in this resort and the reasonable cost of food and drink in Benal, 2 courses in a Chinese restaurant was only 4.50e and 2 courses in most restaurants were generally 8e, even better the price of a pint at most places only 1.5e. Perfect for families and groups on a budget.

We visited Torremolinos & Fuengirola and out of the 3, Benalmadena had the better vibe. Arroyo de la Miel was a nice walk on a cloudy day and Benalmadena Pueblo was nice to chill out, Mijas is also a must see if you have never been.

We met some amazing hard working people during our stay and had plenty of fab nights out, esp. Pepe's corner for toasties, Tinys for a good breakfast & ace take away chips on the way home, Hazy days for a great boozy night out and especially twenty seven bar for ace steaks and even better cocktails.

Hopefully (diaries dependant) we will all be back there next year.

"Two Years of Happy Holidays At Santa Ana Apartments"

We have stayed at the Santa Ana for the last two years with our children (14, 16 & 18) and have had fantastic holidays. We have had great service and no problems with the bookings.We have also booked and paid for (with Ann and Nigel) being picked up from the airport and dropped back, just to make life easier and all without a hitch. The apartment is in a private, quiet, gated block and is lovely - very spacious, clean and beds are comfy. Sittingroom and main bedroom have air conditioning, the other two rooms have fans. TV (freeview) and DVD worked. Kitchen has dishwasher and washing machine - used both and brought back almost no holiday washing! Balcony looks out over the sea. The apartment is double glazed and so noise from the road is minimal - the road is very busy, but an underpass just next to the appartment allows easy, safe access to the front and beach. We have not cooked in the apartment - we have eaten out every night on both holidays (14 nights) and used the local supermarket for sorting breakfasts and lunches (lovely fresh bread). The apartment is brilliantly positioned for the front and restaurants. The prices for meals in restaurants range, but we found 5 of us could eat out reasonably. (Tip: We tended not to have puddings in the restaurants, but had a walk and ate wonderful icecreams from the local stores). The bars and restaurants (a hugh range) were all friendly and catered for a variety of tastes. Our children havent quite hit the going out to nightclubs stage, but have really enjoyed themselves, meals out, checking out the market stalls, shops, Marina etc. The two mini golf places (one next door to the apartment and one by the sealife centre) were good. The Torremiolinos Water Park is good for the older teenagers like ours - use the leaflets for discounts. The Fuengiroala water park is supposed to be better for younger children. All easily reached by bus. Bus services are great and cheap - Malaga is easy reach and a lovely day out (we enjoyed Picasso Museum and a walk up to the old Malaga settlement). We walked most places in Benalmadena. The Marina is a 10/15 minute easy walk from the apartment. The Santa Ana beach in front is lovely, very safe for children swimming and has a lifeguard station. There is no pool, but that hasn't bothered us - we factored in paying for sunbeds (2 beds for 8 euros, per day) for our stays. The beach in August is very popular with the Spanish families themselves, but the sunbed owners will happily reserve sunbeds for you - just ask. We have loved our holidays here. Hot and sunny! :)

"lovely apartment in excellent location"

We were all very impressed with the apartment itself, very spacious for 6 people and very clean. Basics in the fridge on arrival were very much appreciated. The apartment was in an excellent location as it wasn't noisy but yet we were only a 5 minute walk away from bars restaurants etc and the beautiful marina. Also, being directly across from the beach was great. Ann and Nigel were fantastic to deal with and went out of their way to help if we had any questions. Would highly recommend Benalrent and the Santa Ana apartment!

"great location, great apartment, great service :-)"

My 2 friends and I booked this apartment for 10days in sept, it was lovely to have contact with ann regarding anything we needed to know before arriving at apartment, the location of the apartment was fantastic, to wake each morning and sea the beach was breathtaking, the apartment had everything you needed, like home from home, secure entry system made you feel safe, great eating places all within walking distance, and a short walk to the marina along the gorgeous beach walkway. palmoma park nearby is a must see, I would definately recommend this apartment. The personal touch from ann and her hubby nigel who picked us up from the airport made our stay a very pleasurable one........................:-)
