This modern air - conditioned 2 - bedroom ground - floor apartment in the very popular Edificio Don Joaquin apartments is the ideal holiday destination for the whole family.

It is so close to the beach.

The photographs show that the pool gets the sun throughout the day. And there is direct access to the pool from the patio of the apartment .

Benalmadena is a terrific location for a holiday and our photographs will give you some idea of how good the location is. It is ideal for a relaxing break or a sports or fun-packed holiday.

The Puerta Marina has won " The Best Marina in the World " Award several times and in 2013 has been awarded a " Certificate for Excellence." Many of the restaurants have got terrific reviews. And of course the beach is so close, 150 metres from the end of our street.

The apartment is close to the pool and gardens and so you can get up in the morning and go for a swim - so easy with the pool just 12 metres away. Then come back in to breakfast on the terrace. What a great way to start the day.

It is near supermarkets, shops, the Marina, the main street, entertainments, the Spanish village and the beach.

Spend the day relaxing by the pool reading your favourite holiday book or choose one of the books in the apartment. Have your lunch/dinner and a glass of the local wines on the patio.

Children can play in the gardens or in the pool while parents, grandparents read, chat and sunbathe close at hand. The pool depth is graded from 3 ft at the lower end up to 6ft.

There is a pool-security- attendant on pool duty during August.. Our agents are English speakers and people-friendly - always willing to help out - that's why we choose them.

This apartment like the other apartments in this development is maintained to a very high standard as are the gardens and marble tiled corridors.

Just 150 metres away from the end of the street, there is the opportunity to enjoy sunbathing on the long stretches of beach or to go swimming in the sea.

The promenade is a great place to take your evening walk. Or just walk along the beach, sunrise and sunsets are magnificent.

The Don Joaquin development is within walking distance of the modern , stylish Marina with all its amenities - shops , restaurants , water sports and entertainments . It is great to stroll round and see the variety of exclusive yachts and boats there. You can hire a sailing boat or enjoy the selection of water sports.

Enjoy the beautiful gardens of Tivoli World in Arroyo de la Miel - the local theme park with a lots of exciting activities . And there is also Flamenco dancing there.

In Paloma Park you can enjoy strolling round the sparkling lake among the ostriches, peacocks, rabbits and other wild life creatures. You can see performing sea lions and dolphins here too. And the local market takes place here on Wednesdays and Fridays.

A visit to the Sea Life Centre is highly recommended for the kids and grown-ups alike.

The apartment is also ideally located for exploring the local area on foot - there are a variety of walks through the streets and parks of Benalmadena Costa - and in the Spanish village, Arroyo de la Miel. And when you need a break just go into a coffee shop or sample the local ice-creams.

Or further afield - why not visit Mijas, the Spanish mountain village, with its spectacular views across the valleys. Or visit Marbella for the day. The buses leave from the main street (140 metres from the apartment) for a variety of nearby villages, towns and other beach resorts.

The local ceramic industry offers a wide variety of hand painted ceramic cups, vases, plates for sale in the quaint Spanish shops. Beautiful colourful gifts.

Gibraltar is a great day's excursion and tickets may be bought in the Tourist Office on the main street which is 125 metre from the apartment.

Malaga with the Picasso Museum and gallery and old Roman Fort is a must. Brilliant night life entertainment here too. You can get there by bus which leaves regularly from the main street and costs 1 euro 25 cents approximately per person. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Buses run every 20 - 30 minutes.

You might also like to visit the beautiful village, Nerja, with its incredible caves.

There will be no dull moments with golf, water sports, riding and much more at hand.

Being on the ground floor the apartment is near the pool and so it is ideal for children.

The apartment is also suitable accommodation for disabled or older members of your family.

WIFI access is available in the apartment.

Our large modern air-conditioned living room has seating for 6 and the dining table has seating for 6 people .

There is air-conditioning throughout and central heating for the winter months with a metre which takes1 euro coins.

1 euro will give you 1 hour of air-conditioning or 1 hour of central heating. It certainly doesn't take more than an hour of air conditioning for you to cool down so this is a very reasonable option.

( We were advised by our agents to install this due to the fact that there was a lot of wastage with the air-conditioning being left on when families left the apartment. It was out of consideration for the environment as well as wear and tear on the system which made us agree to have the metre installed. It costs us 150.00 euros to service the system each time. )

ALL other electrical costs : cooking, Smart television, hair-dryer, bathing, showers, lighting, etc are included in the rental fee.

Sunbeds are available for sun-bathing on the patio and a table with 6 chairs for eating outdoors on the patio.

The bedrooms are also air-conditioned and comfortable and bedlinen is included.

Fully fitted modern bathroom with bath and shower facilities. A set of six basic towels is included.

The dining room caters for 6 people. A modern arch provides convenient access to the kitchen which has all the electrical appliances you will require.

Or of course you may wish to eat al fresco on the terrace. Or picnic in the garden which is a few metres outside our terrace gate.

* * We have WIFI in the apartment . And there is now a SMART television . This means you can get UK channels including BBC, ITV. Channel 4, Channel 5, Classic . film channels etc etc .

Full internet service available.

This town is getting more and more popular for holidays with UK residents. It is only minutes from the airport and has easy, friendly atmosphere which appeals to people.

If you have a mobile phone - it is advised that you contact your service provider and this should save you money .

You could get a local Spanish Simcard for use on holidays in Spain if you prefer.

Further details outdoors

The private gate of the apartment's patio opens directly onto the gardens and the pool making it an ideal location for families with young children.

The pool is just 10 metres from the apartment. No need for using lifts or carrying items any distance for the pool.

The Marina is 175 yds from the end of our street. There are ways to get there one will take a lot longer and one take a few minutes so ask us to give you the exact details before you go.

This development has just got two blocks, each of which is only 4 storeys high and so it is not a crowded location. It is a gated complex which ensures top security.

Families can enjoy the pool, communal gardens, and secure parking.

Golfing

If golfing is your thing , this location is great for Golfers with up to 40 golf courses in the region. If required we can reccommend a very reliable transport service for small or larger groups.

Boats can be hired at the Marina and it really is a great healthy experience spending time here. Lots of great restaurants and cafes and beautiful shops.

There is absolutely so much to see and do and you can rent a boat by the hour or more and have a truly exciting trip out to sea.

***** This is by and large an apartment complex which caters for families and couples. It is a residential development which is also fantastic for letting to families/friends and couples who love the sun and want a variety of activities practically on the doorstep. ****

The Andalucia region

The Costa del Sol covers a wide expanse of the south of Spain.

It is a favourite tourist destination worldwide and offers 320 days of sunshine each year. Families from all countries visit the many beautiful towns and beaches and the local councils have spent millions annually maintaining and adding to the various entertainments for the tourist industry.

There are many exceptional golf courses to choose from here and a variety of sports on offer as well as local cultural attractions .

There are many restaurants in Malaga as well as in Nerja, Benalmadena, Puerto Banus, Estepona and Marbella offering both local and international cuisine.

Clubs, cafes and bars offer tapas which are a good way to sample some types of Spanish food. Being on the coast fish dishes are readily available at any of the resorts . To complement your food you can enjoy the superb wines of Andalucia and other regions of Spain.

A wide variety of entertainments to suit all ages are available as well as a variety of sports as already stated.

As well as the busy towns and beaches of the Costa del Sol you will find picturesque, quiet, tranquil Spanish villages where you can stroll and enjoy the air after dinner at sunset.

Benalmadena Costa

The Don Joaquin Development in Benalmaden Costa is close to the Marina with all its restaurants, shops, banks and entertainment.

Fishing and angling trips can be arranged from the Marina.

The beach, local shops and supermarket are within walking distance. The apartment is quite close to Arroyo de la Miel, the Spanish village, which offers its unique weekly market experience on Fridays. You might enjoy trying your bargaining skills for the fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, paintings, rugs, ceramics etc.

There is also a market in Fuengirola on Tuesdays.

This beautiful village has some fine examples of local Spanish architure, culture and cuisine.

It also has a new Ice Skating Rink Complex.

Benalmadena - A lively resort with its beautiful sandy beaches & a spectacular promenade 2km long. Visit the Marina Plaza, often described as "Covent Garden on water."

As well as enjoying a variety of walks through the Benalmadena Costa and through Arroyo de la Miel, there are many local entertainments such as Tivoli World, the Aquarium and the parks.

There are excursions to Gibraltar, Malaga, Marbella and the tiny picturesque mountain village Mijas.

Opportunities are available to play golf, to enjoy water sports, paragliding cycling, horse riding, fishingsports and many other sports. A wide variety of sports and leisure pursuits.

The Marina and the village offer abusy night life scene with lots of discos, restaurants and bars on the main streets.

Local activities include: Amusement Park, Dolphin Park, Cycling, Diving, Fishing, Golf, Horse Riding, Sailing, Surfing, Swimming, Tennis, Ten Pin Bowling, Walking, Water Skiing, WaterPark, Wind-Surfing, Zoo. And only 375 metres from the beach.

"Great Apartment"
