The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa Del Sol, Costa Del Golf are two very good titles for this area of Southern Spain. Even during winter months the climate is warm and comfortable.
Golf courses are abundant within a 30 minute radius of the property. Atalaya is next door along with El Paraiso. La Quinta, Aloha, Las Brisas are close so is Monte Mayor.
For non-golfers Puerto Banus is within 15 mins in a car or taxi, with its fantastic marina restaurants and shops, notably "El Cortes Ingles" a large shopping mall. To the west is the city of Estepona with its family beaches and attractions and local charm along with Marbella old town, ideal for evenings out try "Plaza Los Narranjos" a square full of outdoor restaurants surrounded by unique boutique shops.
Whatever your requirements are, a stay at Benatalaya caters for all tastes.
Benahavis / Atalaya Golf area
Benehavis is an area ideally located between famous towns such as San Pedro, Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona.
Further afield are Duquesa, Sotogrande and Gibralta. Even Morroco is accessible. The Spanish cities of Jerez and Granada are within a few hours drive in particular the ski-slopes of the Sierra Nevada's. Snow and Sun in the same day, very appealing !!
Most important is the ease of access to all areas in this part of Spain with the dual carriageway coast road and the mountain motorway.
Spanish heritage and way of life is everywhere you look, very enjoyable and relaxing.
How to get there
Flights from the UK & Europe to Malaga International or Gibraltar Airport. Malaga Airport is one of the busiest airports in Europe, all budget airlines fly to this region of Spain.
Renting a car is the best option since there is so much to offer in the area. Taxi's are available costing approx Euro 40.
From Malaga Airport, via the N340/A7 coast road or the Toll Motorway takes approx 40 minutes.
Benatalaya is a 3km drive inland, along the Guadalmina River (A-7475 Benahavis road) from the N340/A7 coast road near San Pedro.
