In the foothills of the Sierra Blanca Mountains, not far from the coastal town of San Pedro de Alcántara, in the province of Malaga, you will find the beautiful village of La Heredia, Benahavis. Regarded by many as "the best location on the coast" and "the Knightsbridge of Spain". Often used by the TV program "A place in the Sun" for its beautiful scenery and backdrops - it is simply stunning!

This fantastic Townhouse located in one of the best locations within La Heredia and is very close to the one of the community pools. With the most fantastic views looking across the Mediterranean and towards Africa. The pool is great, from the house you can pop down for a quick swim in the morning before Breakfast and for a last minute dip in the evening before dinner.

You enter the property through an iron gate and into a hallway which leads you to a beautiful antique Andalucian front door. You will then enter the property on the ground floor where you will find 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite Bathroom. The bathroom has a stand up shower, a bath and double sinks. The second bedroom has two single beds and a TV with in-built dvd player. The second bathroom again has a stand up shower, bath and double sinks.

You then proceed up the moorish staircase to the upstairs where you will find a great size living/dining room, kitchen and terrace area. The lounge consists of feature fireplace, 40" flat screen TV with community sat TV and DVD player. There are cream leather sofas - 3 seater and 2 single sofa chairs. You will also find a 6 seater dining table and a CD player with ipod docking station. You will also have internet wi-fi available to you in the house.

The Kitchen consists of gas hob and electric fan oven, dishwasher & fridge freezer. From here you can enter the terrace area which also has a table and chairs seating 4 people, a sunbed and of course some of the best views you will find in the village, simply stunning!!

Location is everything when considering renting a property. La Heredia is in a fantastic location, being only 10 minutes from the famous Puerto Banus and 15 minutes from the glitz and glamour of Marbella and its fantastic beaches.

La Heredia also has a bar - "The K bar", a great place to meet friends, family and relax. A new Restaurant has now just opened "La Casita de la Heredia".With its fantastic Spanish menu, great food and staff it is sure to be a very popular. I wish them every success - bon appetit! A fantastic Bakers open 7 days a week, with a Breakfast & lunch Cafe and a top quality award winning Butchers which also has a bar and serves fantastic food!!

This is a great property to rent for a family holiday, Golf trip or as a great base to go and explore this fantastic location. Marbella and Puerto Banus 10 minutes by car. Gibraltar 45 minutes by car. Tarifa 1 hour by car. Malaga 45 minutes by car. Sevilla & Cordoba, 2 hours by car, the list of locations and places to visit are endless! The Andalucia region

La Heredia is set 8km up the road to Ronda, from the Spanish coastal town of San Pedro de Alcantara. Built 850 ft above sea level it offers incredible views to Africa, the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and the mountains and Golf courses below. This region is also known as the Costa del Golf, for it has many fantastic Golf courses all within minutes of of the village. Los Arqueros Golf - 5 mins, La Quinta Golf - 6 mins, Los Naranjos Golf - 8 mins and Las Brisas Golf - 10 mins to name but a few.

La Heredia is also situated 10 mins from Puerto Banus, 15 mins from Marbella 45 mins from Gibraltar 1 hr from Tarifa, with its stunning Atlantic beaches. My personal favourite - Bologna - with its incredible sand dunes which rise to over 200 ft, its crystal clear waters, the Roman village and Museum which sits right on the bay overlooking the Sea, must be seen.

Just 40 minutes drive away is the historic town of Ronda, known for the oldest bull ring in Spain being built in 1784 and its incredible bridge (known as the new bridge - although it was finished in 1793), which spans the canyon 120 metres (390ft) above the canyon floor.

The newly constructed Malaga airport is only 45 minutes drive away, as is Gibraltar Airport. With regular flights from all the major airports in the Uk to Malaga, you could leave your house in the morning and be on the beach for paella by lunchtime!

The Sierra Navada mountain range with its great skiing, is also only a two hour drive away from La Heredia. So you can literally ski in the morning and be on the beach by the afternoon,

The Málaga area enjoys a subtropical–mediterranean climate. It has one of the warmest winters in Europe, with average temperatures of 17 °C (62.6 °F) during the day and 7–8 °C (45–46 °F) at night in the period from December through February.

The summer season lasts about eight months, from April through November where temperatures can reach 40°C , and in the remaining four months temperatures sometimes still reach around 24 °C (76.0 °F).

Just a 10 minute drive from La Heredia in beautiful scenery you will come to Benahavis. This is a Spanish mountain village situated between Marbella, Estepona, and Ronda, where it is located seven kilometers from the coast. Renowned for its restaurants, it is often called the dining room of the Costa del Sol. Benahavis area holds nine of the 60 golf courses in the Costa del Sol.

At the end of the 11th century, Benahavis was founded by Arabs. Closely related with Costa del Sol's Arabic past, and particularly with Marbella, the district which it belonged to until it was granted the so-called "Carta Puebla" by Philip II in 1572. Montemayor Castle, built prior to the Construction of Benahavis, plays a very important role in the battles between the various Arab kings in Andalusia, because of its strategic position. It was disputed for many years by the military factions of the epoch. Its prominent location overlooking up to a hundred kilometres of seaboard, and even the African coast, was extremely useful at a time when piracy and invasion were commonplace. The town takes its name from Havis, who reigned in Montemayor Castle. To be precise, Benahavis is basically Arabic (Ben al Havis) and means "son of Havis".

"What a find!"

Superb spotless accommodation with all the mod cons. Beautiful views and peaceful. The swimming pool is next door, great and convenient for an early morning dip. If you really want to see the real Spain a car is recommended. So much to see. We will return next year. Thank you.

"What a 'Casa'...! What a 'Vista'...!"

La Casa...
As soon as we stepped through Casa's antique Andalucian entranceway we knew we had chosen the most perfect place for our holiday. The ground floor's superb tiled shower rooms with white towels aplenty and come hither bedrooms whispered "freshen-up" and "siesta" even as we stood there cases still in hand! And each step up the moorish staircase revealed more clean, tasteful modernity and state-of-the-art tvs, sound system & wifi – – creature comforts we thought we had left back home. Up to the living room with a view, we found it luxurious and expansive with – by night – lighting so romantic it seemed darker with the lights on! And so well-equipped was the kitchen it almost begged us to throw a large party. But beware the lure of the silent air conditioning through the hotter days: one could easily later have to explain "Well, we didn't go out much."!
La Vista...
And from the terrace our breath was taken away daily by the view of Gibraltar framed by the African mountains beyond as though permanently looking through a telescope. Many a fine Rioja rose toasted the sunset there whenever we resisted the lure of 'La Casita' restaurant a short stagger below. We stocked up at a large supermarket in the adjacent San Pedro village with ease, and venturing further found ourselves perfectly placed: the coast – the well-heeled Puerto Banús – only a few songs beyond, the delightful Marbella Old Town barely 15 minute east, the gastronomic Benahavis white village a stone's throw west, and historic Ronda a leisurely drive up into the mountains. Everything was just fabulous!
But only fair also to warn the reader of any negatives – When you shut Casa's door for the very last time and hand back the keys to affable Sheldon, the owner... try not to cry!

"Lovely house in great location"

We found the house to be of high quality with everything we needed for our stay. The living accommodation is on the first floor which makes the most of the fabulous views of the coast and Gibraltar. … More
