The Andalucia region
Over 300 days of sunshine every year, a beautiful coastline with fabulous beaches, enchanting towns and villages, magnificent countryside, stylish resorts, sophisticated nightlife, superb shopping and an amazing choice of golf courses make the Costa del Sol a perfect choice for a holiday.
The area offers something for everyone - families, couples, groups of friends and golfers.
Marbella stretches along some 27 kilometres of coastline from Cabopino to San Pedro and boasts some of the finest beaches of the Costa del Sol.
Marbella is split into several districts - Marbella East, Marbella Centre, Puerto Banus, Nueva Andalucia and San Pedro. It is a town that offers not only an international jet-set scene but also a typically Andalucian ambience and is a golfer's paradise.
Stroll around the beautifully managed parks and gardens or the narrow streets of Marbella's romantic 'Casco Antiguo' (Old Town), steeped in history and so typically Andalucian. Everything you could need is found here surrounded by an incomparable landscape of sea and mountains.
Marbella Centre comprises the Old Town, centre, beach front (Paseo Maritimo), the sports and fishing ports. Head along the Golden Mile out of Marbella to reach world famous Puerto Banus. Built around the marina, where some of the most magnificent yachts lay at anchor Puerto Banus was developed as an exclusive playground in the 1970's yet still retains the Andalucian character with traditionally narrow streets and white-washed buildings.
Benahavis is a delightful mountain village overlooking the Guadalmina River .'
In many ways one of Andalucía's best kept secrets Benahavis is just 7 km into the mountains from the main coast road, immediately west of San Pedro de Alcántara and only minutes away from Marbella and Puerto Banus.
The name of Benahavis comes from the Arab - ben Havís - and means son of Havís, who was an eleventh century Moorish prince.
The village itself is a delightful pueblo, with narrow cobbled streets, that still keep the original Moorish layout, pretty houses, a few shops and a simply amazing choice of restaurants. It is known locally as the Rincón de la Gastronomía.
There are a few little shops for essentials , a pharmacy, 2 banks and several lovely galleries including that of the famous sculptor David Marshall. There are several excellent supermarkets a ten minute drive away.
You can be in San Pedro in about 15 minutes and here you will find many delightful shops and there is an excellent market on Thursdays.
Puerto Banus with its nightlife, marina stylish shops, bars and restaurants is about 20 minutes away and Marbella just a little further. The whole area with the beaches and golf courses of the Costa Del Sol offers a tremendous range of activities.
Benahavís is justifiably proud of its restaurants, of which there are 17 in the village, so as well as being spoilt for choice you don't need to worry about driving home! There are also a couple of nice places for tapas.

"First class accommodation in a beautiful resort."
We have just returned from a memorable and most relaxing stay in this apartment. We have stayed in Benahavis before, but this accommodation was the best we have had. It was extremely spacious, well equipped and most tastefully decorated. The balcony, with it's dining and sunbathing areas. was simply ideal and certainly met all of our needs. We spent many a restful, peaceful hour there, soaking up the sun and admiring the absolutely stunning views. We found the apartment to be very private and the whole of the complex was so well cared for and secure. The grounds, with their abundance of foliage and flowers, as well as the pool area were delightful. The owner was so helpful and thoughtful and made the booking process and our stay there, so easy from beginning to end. The village, with its choice of wonderful restaurants, beautiful park and walks and excellent amenities, is ideal for people of all ages. We will certainly be booking this apartment again.

"Great Break in the Sun"
We travelled with two children 9 and 10. The apartment had all the home comforts and a lovely sunny balcony in the morning with a great view. The village is very nice with may great nature walks. In April is was too cold for the outdoor swimming pools although it was defniniitely hot enough for sun bathing. . We used the table tennis table and driving range. If you don't have golf membership but want to play then there is a Pay and Play par 3 course on the main road to San Pedro. We also woudl recommend the Amazonian Adventure 'Go Ape' style zip wire park near Marbella. The village of Ojen nearby is also a stunning visit. Ronda is also worth a visit. With cheap flights to Malaga, this was a brilliant family break.

"Stunning views! Perfect for relaxation"
We booked this property to explore the area as we had not visited this part of Spain.
The owners were very helpful in the booking process and we were looking forward to our stay. We were warned by the owners in a telephone call of strike action affecting Spain the day after our arrival, which we were not aware of, and this illustrated the care and attention the owners give to make your stay as good as possible.
The apartment did not disappoint, it had everything we needed, was very clean and well equipped and we had a welcome pack on arrival. We weren't expecting this, but it was very welcome and meant we could have some lunch then go out to stock up in the local supermarket.
The information left in the apartment for visitors was very comprehensive, about the apartment itself, the complex and the local area. We viewed several properties whilst we were away, and felt the nicest we saw was the apartment at Las Mozas. The rooms were spacious, the terrace has stunning views over the mountains and it was so relaxing to sit there and watch the swallows and birds. We enjoyed exploring the town, restaurants and local, park which the apartment overlooks. The pool was a lovely place to relax. We drove to the beach at San Pedro and enjoyed a walk on the promenade, stopping for a very good value cup of coffee and to enjoy the view. We all want to come back to Benahavis and will definitely stay again at this apartment.
