With its 60 miles of varied coastline and beautiful scenery it is perfect for holidays of every sort. Whether it's the traditional beach holiday with swimming, boating, sandcastles and rock pools, walking the coastal paths and country trails or exploring its many historical buildings and archaeological sites the Isle of Wight has it all.
It is great for cycling, sailing, windsurfing, fishing and horse-riding. There are charming thatched villages, country tea shops, local craft and art galleries, farm shops and one of the most popular theme parks in the country, Blackgang Chine.
Bembridge is a coastal village on the eastern tip of the island. Bembridge harbour has two sailing clubs and is renowned for sailing and other water sports.
The village offers excellent food shopping including a locally sourced greengrocers and fishmongers, artisan bakers, family butchers and has a wide variety of restaurants.
The beach stretches from the harbour along the tree lined coast to Lane End where the lifeboat station is located and beyond to the stunning cliffs at Whitecliff Bay. Along this beautiful stretch of coast are a number of beach cafes and the Crab and Lobster pub at Forelands.
There are local stables offering horse-riding for all levels of rider.

"Highly recommended!! Gorgeous house. We want to live there."
A beautiful cottage that's deceptively large. 1 double bedroom downstairs, 1 double and a huge twin bedroom upstairs. Large downstairs wet room and a family bathroom upstairs. Kitchen is very well equipped with everything u need. We used the private side garden lots and had a couple of barbecues. The driveway out front has plenty of room for 2 cars.
There are thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine on arrival and DVDs, games and books for all the family.
We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

"Lovely cottage in a great location"
Lane End Cottage was a wonderful base for our holiday on the Isle of Wight. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and much more spacious than it appears from the outside. It really was only a few minutes walk from the beach in one direction and the shops and facilitiies of Bembridge in the other, including a convenience store only 30 seconds away.
The owner was very helpful both in the initial booking and accomodating our young children (organising a cot, high chair and stairgate for us). We would highly recommend Lane End Cottage.
