Feuilles Vertes (Green Leaves) is a beautiful country house with a 2 bedroom self-contained holiday apartment on the ground floor.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing, wind-down type of holiday where you can enjoy beautiful scenery, numerous historical sites or the local vineyards - or whether you like an action packed holiday, hiking, white water action, the French passion for cycling or even skiing in the winter months. The choice is yours!

Inside the apartment, the large living room has a lounge area and a dining room area. A television with UK Free to Air channels (including radio channels) has been provided in the lounge area as well as a DVD player and a CD hi-fi system. Wi-fi is also now available.

The fully equipped galley kitchen has a gas cooker with four rings, an oven & grill, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a fridge with a freezer compartment. An iron and ironing board are also provided.

The apartment has two bedrooms - the main bedroom has a double bed; the second bedroom has twin beds. All bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost. Both bedrooms are also equipped with a radio alarm and a hair-dryer. Adjacent to the bedrooms is a shower room with a WC.

Heating is available for the cooler months.

The apartment has a large private patio equipped with sun-loungers, garden furniture and a superb barbecue. Guests are also welcome to use the above-ground swimming pool (shared with owners), which is open from beginning of May to end of September.

Whether you have a specific problem you want to treat or whether you just want to relax and let go of your stressful lifestyle, we offer a holistic approach to your general well-being.

Towels, linen and the cleaning at the end of your holiday are included in the price. If you book for two weeks, a mid term towel and linen change is included, but not an apartment clean.
Pool towels are also provided.

A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival, or immediately if booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival date.

“If you want a relaxing time or to hike the mountains then come here!” I have visited before and each time I love it more. The peace and quiet. The stunning views. The beautiful accommodation and the thoughtfulness of Karen and Nick to ensure your holiday goes smoothly and is everything you have asked for. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It really is a five star holiday. If you have time and inclination i would definitely recommend a relaxing and theraputic massage from Karen and a chat about holistic therapies she offers. That are a bonus and worth that extra sixth star from me! Thank you both and hopefully see you next year.

“Brilliant place to stay - very clean and excellent hosts” We stayed here the third week in August with two teenagers - 14 & 18 who would normally have done a bit of moaning during our holidays, but they loved every minute of it, just like us. We hired a car and took day trips out to Andorra, Perpignan and Carcassonne. The pool and barbeque were great and the kids loved the fact that there was wifi and Sky TV. The gite is very well equipped, with towels, TV and hifi, and all the kitchen equipment you need. Not much in the village itself (no shops and one restaurant), but the wee town of Quillan is just 4 km down the road, which has lots of restaurants and a market twice a week. Nick and Karen (and the dogs) were perfect hosts, making us all feel welcome and providing useful advice for us to get the best out of our trip and sightseeing. The apartment was spotlessly clean - we've stayed in top hotels which weren't as clean as this gite! Karen runs an alternative therapy clinic and i would highly recommend it. I had arranged a treatment two hours after i got there and it was great. Very reasonable and very effective to chill out the whole holiday. http://www.bienetre-a-feuillesvertes.com/ The local scenery is beautiful and peaceful, though the local gorge is best experienced by a rafting experience!! Conveniently there is Rodeo Raft just across the road, the boys loved the trip and said it was well run and very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely go back!

“What a great place to stay” Karen's and Nick place is a great place to explore the 'Cathar Country'. The gite has everything you could want its a home from home. Karen and nick are great hosts and live above the gite with their beautiful dogs daisy and fouvie. They are a mine of information on places to visit and restaurants to eat at and will always offer you advice if you want it, but will also will give you your privacy and leave you alone if that's what's you prefer. The area is beautiful but you really need a car to explore it properly. There are some nice walks starting in the local area and there are maps provided in the gite that you can use. The pool is lovely and refreshing if the weather is hot and I was surprised how big it felt when I was in it. There is also a barbecue that you can use, a clothes line and an outside eating area with tables, chairs and loungers. The gite also has all the English channels on the tv, there is a DVD player and nick and Karen provid a selection on DVDs for you to use. You also get a welcome pack when you arrive, wine (most essential in France) bread, home made jam , margerine, tea, coffee, milk and sugar all you need to get you started. They also have Wi-Fi if you want to use but we was glad to get away from the internet for a week. You won't forget your stay here a fantasic place run by 2 very kind people. “very professional and welcoming holiday location” - the flat was very clean, and all utilitues/facilities were present ! - the swimming pool was an extra positive facility - the owners took great care of the contact between the peds (our dog and theirs) , the garden was wel kept, - small details were very charming: bread, butter and a bottle of wine after a long day of travelling is so welcoming - we had some nice conversations together but they respected our privacy - it was a place where you can rest, reload your batteries

“Comfortable apartment, helpful hosts, great location, excellent holiday.” A very well equipped apartment (and a brilliant shower) in a beautiful location. The welcome pack was a very nice touch as was the supply of pool towels. Karen and Nick, the hosts, were very helpful and informative, advising re places to visit, to park and to eat. Also, the dogs were very friendly and no problem. A car is definitely needed as the nearest shops are approx 4km away but there are plenty of lovely places to visit.

“An excellent base from which to explore this wonderful part of France.” This gite is so accommodating that I have now spent two separate holidays there in less than a year. Not only is the gite really well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine but the hosts are so welcoming too. Nothing is left to chance. The gite is close to a road, so no endless tracks to negotiate, and it is very centrally located for exploration of the Cathar country and the coast.. Very relaxing venue; a place where every effort has been made to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

“Excellent, great welcome, magical centre for exploration of the region with its inspiring history and geography.” A very well appointed Gite with everything you would want on hand. As keen cooks the kitchen proved the wherewithall to produce the evening meals which capped off each day's enjoyable exploration of the Cathare Country. Within easy reach of the coast, about an hour away, the roads are littered with enough opportunities for the odd degustation or two with names of wines and liquors that bring to mind a 'Robert Guide' to the wines of France. For those more actively minded the mountainous terrain offers much scope for big, or little walks with incredibly rewarding views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The rivers provide great opportunty for canoing or rafting whilst the innumerable cliffs offer climbing of the highest standards. To cap it all you have Karen and Nick. plus the girls(!), providing a 'welcome back to the family' experience with lots of help and suggestions of how to get the best out of the area. They provide a the bedrock of an holiday experience you would want to repeat.

“What a relaxing and beautiful spot you feel on holiday the moment you arrive” The perfect spot to relax with enough amenties if you just want to chill and relax (swim in the pool) just stock up the fridge and larders - light the barbi and go for it. The drive through the mountains and the gorge is stunning - had a fantastic meal at a restuarant just the other side of the Gorge. Local Markets are good for shopping and "Da Vinci Code" fans will be in heaven. You have to visit Carcasoon (hope I spelt that right but I'm sure the owners will confirm if you ask) Also perfect to explore the area and only an hour away from the Sea - if you do decide to go to the sea get information about the duty free on the border - good bargins to be had!

“Peaceful location with friendly owners - great location for exploring the area” Accomodation ample for a family of four including comfortable lounge and well-equipped kitchen with thoughtful welcome pack. Property was very clean and all furniture and equipment was virtually new. Sunbeds and towels provided for the lovely sun-trap outside the house. Small pool was always welcome and kept clean. Ability to use free-standing barbecue was also appreciated as was the use of the garden. Great views from the garden of the surrounding hills; short walk to a local restaurant which was very good value and served tasty regional food. Central location for exploring Cathar castles to the south, the mountainous area west of Quillan, and Carcassonne and surroundings to the north. Incredible range of different landscapes within a short drive.

“A fantastic place to stay with top class hospitality.” Myself and my husband stayed for nearly a week in Feuilles Vertes as we wanted a relaxing break with access to a private barbeque / pool etc. - we got everything we were hoping for by staying here. From the moment we arrived we were made feel at home due to the warm welcome from the owners and the little extras they provided e.g. delicious homemade bread (ready to tuck into on the first night), local jam, local maps, up to date info on local events etc. The place was spotless and very comfortable, the weather was great and the owners were very helpful giving us advice on local activities, markets, local food and drink, restaurants, walks - they even helped us with the language. During our visit, the Tour de France was passing through the village so the owners invited us to lunch in the local restaurant to soak up the atmosphere - it was fabulous. We stayed a few extra days in the end and were sorry to leave. We've since had a baby girl and would love to return again with her soon.

“The most well equipped holiday home I have ever stayed in a beautiful part of France.” Myself my husband and 2 boys aged 5 and 7 had the most wonderful holiday at Feuilles Verte. The gite is extremely well eqipped and comfortable and having the owners on site means that you neve rhave any worries and everything is always clean and tidy. From cleaning out the lovely pool to changing light bulbs and booking restaurants, Karen and Nick are wonderful hosts but do not intrude on your holiday either. The boys loved the dogs too. It is a beautiful part of France too with fantastic beaches, caves, and amazing castles 1-2 hours by car. “Wonderful hospitality, lovely location and therapy treatments too” We have stayed at Feuilles Vertes twice now. Karen and Nick are welcoming, kind and friendly hosts. The gite is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There are lost of interesting places to visit in this Cathar region of France and we can highly recommend it.
