"Owner nowhere to be seen or heard"

Before we set off for our holiday I contacted the owner to arrange collection of the keys. Whilst on the phone I enquired wether he would be able to provide a high chair for the week as we had a baby with us. The owner said he would see what he could do and would get back to us.

This never happened which was a pity because I initially assumed the lack of contact meant he had managed to obtain one.

There was no one to welcome us, explain how heating worked, or the hot tub, and we found this unusual as we have stayed in numerous places but have always been welcomed and told how things work.

We tried phoning the owner on 2 occasions with no answer, we also tried texting to no avail.

The house itself was nice enough although it took 2 days to understand the washing machine or how to get downstairs heated.

The hot tub went cold midweek and again we didnt know why or how to fix it.

We wouldn't stay here again as there are so many other places out there provided by friendly people offering advice and help during your stay.
