"Half Term holiday"

We were bringing our five and two years old for a Peak District half term holiday, the house is great, cosy and comfy, and it has everything you need. Bed and sofa are all clean and comfy, the only thing is my kids have to share a double bed (they love it), I was surprised that they did not kick each other out of bed. The location is good for us, the house is nearly at the top of the valley, we can just start walking from behind the house. Getting to Matlock, Buxton are also very easy.

The owners, Tracey and Andy are also very attentive, there are puzzles and games and books for the kids, some trick or treat chocolate as it was halloween, even hot chocolate for them before bed.

We all had a lovely time and would love to stay in the house again next time when we visit Peak District.

Thank you very much for your review - I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at No 31 and beautiful Belper.... I like to spoil the children that stay here, i always provide them with little extras. We really hope to welcome you again soon. Happy guests make us happy! Best wishes to you and your family. Tracey

"A home away from home!!"

Great little home, great facilities and everthing you needed was supplied by the very thoughtful owners!! (esp. the wine & chocolates). Peaceful & quiet location, great for country walks, and very good transport links to other Peak District locations. Though we didnt have a car, we found the local transport was very good and were able to get to Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath, Buxton and other interesting places. The walk back to the house from the town centre was always a lovely way to finish the day. The garden was a very pleasant area to sit and enjoy the day ... though we just didnt get to use the barbeque! Loved the super comfortable beds!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - probably one of the best presented self-catering houses we have seen in a very long time.

A very big thank you to Andy for meeting & welcoming us ...and to Tracey for all her efficiency with the booking etc.

It is wonderful to know that you had such a great stay at No 31, your kind comments have made my week! we do appreciate your thoughtful comments and some recommendations for things to see in the area.
