The Languedoc-Roussillon region
The Languedoc-Roussillon region has much to offer with its warm climate and stunning scenery.
The Mediterranean coast has large unspoilt sandy beaches and the Pyrenees provide skiing in the winter and beautiful hidden tracks and trails for walking and hiking during the summer months.
There is much to see and do whether it be Carcassonne and it's wonderful 'cite', the Canal du Midi, ancient Cathar castles perched on hilltops, playing a round of golf, wandering around the local markets or visiting the beautiful city of Toulouse.
The region is famous for its sparkling wine, Blanquette de Limoux as well as producing excellent wine. Domaines and Caves in the region are always happy to offer wine tasting.
Bellegarde du Razes

From the door of the house you can enjoy walking or cycling through the rolling countryside and leafy vineyards and sunflower fields.
The village is located in the area known as 'the Razes' - it covers quite a small area of the Aude but has some of the loveliest scenery in the region.
