About the home

Falcon Crest is a century -old stone built house on the hills of Bellapais with 4, one bedroom beautifully designed bungalows with breathtaking Panoramic views over the valley and the coast. Falcon Crest is located just 100 meters away from the famous Bellapais Abbey which is the home of international art exhibitions and concerts and local restaurants with international cuisine.

The Bungalows have a spacious open plan large lounge combined with dining and kitchen, modernly decorated and furnished.

Falcon Crest bungalows are cosy and warm in the winter, cool a fresh in the summer. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity lying around the swimming pool with breathtaking views over the Med.

The Kyrenia region

Turkish North Cyprus is one of the Mediterranean's forgotten corners. Over the past 15 years whilst other areas, including the most distant shores of Turkey, have seen considerable tourist development, this northern coast of Cyprus has remained virtually untouched by the package tour. The area has enormous charm, a dramatic coastline, mountain scenery with castle ruins, and a fascinating history.

The Bellapais area

Falcon Crest is ideally located to easily explore all the major attractions of the area. The picturesque village of Bellapais is only 5 minutes walk away, with its magnificent Gothic Abbey, as is the historic town of Kyrenia with its tranquil harbour, castle and numerous restaurants/bars. There are also beaches nearby, with the nearest being only 5 minutes drive away. Other close attractions include the 'fairytale' St Hilarion Castle and Buffavento Castle with its panoramic views. Turtle (Alagadi) Beach, a 10 minute drive away is home to the nesting Loggerhead and Green turtles between May and October. It is a privilege to watch the enormous turtles laying their eggs and then the tiny baby turtles hatching and making their way to the sea. Take a day to drive down to the Karpaz peninsula, with its turquoise sea and deserted white sandy beaches, stopping off at the Roman ruins of Salamis with its spectacular amphitheatre. Historical Famagusta is also well worth a visit in this area.

“Peace and quiet in a lovely location.” We booked this accommodation for a little more independence, having stayed close by in hotel accommodation last year. We were not disappointed in our choice. "Falcon's Crest" comprises 4 mini-villas on a secure site, each with a slightly different aspect. We occupied "Aqua" which had a fabulous outlook over the valley to the sea beyond. The sun was directly on our terrace as it came up each morning. We appreciated the "laid back" attitude of the owner, so that after an initial introduction we were left to enjoy the total peace of this location. The villas were not serviced during our stay, but there was a comprehensive utility room with washing machine, all spare linen etc. All 'mod cons' were available inside the villa, including flat-screen TV with over 100 channels (though most of these were in Arabic, and a package with more English-speaking channels would suit the largely British guests who stay here).We particularly liked the large bath and beach towels (Louis Vuitton, no less!), the free WI-Fi and the very generous "Welcome Package". The owners two cats and dog became real friends during our stay, but it is fair to point out that if you were not a cat lover you might find their behaviour intrusive. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay, and would not hesitate to return, or to recommend this accommodation to others.

“An excellent place for a holiday” Just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful stay at Falcons Crest. Your estate is in a perfect location and provided everything we value in a holiday - tranqulity, privacy and lovely accomodation. Both Steve and I agree that we had the best holiday we have had for a few years. So, we hope to come back next year - I'm just waiting for my Boss to return from his own holiday so I can firm up some dates and I'll be in touch very soon.
