We can put you in touch with guides to walk a wild orchid and flower route.
The months of September & October have excellent weather but not too hot. Even into November the weather can be excellent.
Currency in North Cyprus is the Turkish Lira and electric plugs are 3 pin as in UK.
Northern Cyprus has an abundance of historic ruins and ancient castles and is possibly the most beautiful part of the island. .
Northern Cyprus is a very safe place to visit..
The food and wine is excellent.
The local people are very friendly , helpful and welcoming.
The coastline has many secluded and sandy beaches and it is still possible to find a deserted beach even in the summer months.
Nature lovers may be interested to know that around the end of June, beginning of July ,the turtles come to lay their eggs along the coastline. The eggs hatch in late August to early September and volunteers are welcomed to help guard the nests or to watch the newly hatched baby turtles get down to the waters edge.
Historic and heritage sites are found throughout the area.

The unspoilt Karpas Peninsular and the Apostolas Andreas Monastery are wonderful to really 'get away from it all'
The whole of the Old City in Nicosia including the old market and historic streets near the Selimiye Mosque (formally the great Latin Cathedral of St Sophia) The Big Inn (The Buyuk Han) - for Cyprus handicrafts, gift shops and lunch in the courtyard.

Reviews

The house itself was lovely; a mixture of old world charm with its antique, atmospheric interior mixed with modern conveniences. We were a bit confused by the advert which boasted eight bathrooms although we only managed to find four(!) but nevertheless, there was ample space, especially as there was only two of us. The position of the house was particularly good as it is only a very short stroll to some lovely restaurants in the centre of Bellapais village and a convenient ten minute drive to Kyrenia. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and would certainly return. |
