Home description
Authentic Cyprus luxury villa - this beautiful, old and traditional Cyprus house with its high beamed ceilings and marble floors exudes character yet has all the modern conveniences you would expect for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. The house is in the LOWER LEVEL OF THE VILLAGE FOR EASY ACCESS but still has lovely views of the Abbey, coastline and mountains. The garden is large and private with large swimming pool that is in the sun all day. Fruit trees, terraces and a huge roof terrace. There are plenty of chairs & sunbeds (excluding the outside dining chairs) in the garden making it possible to sit together or find a private spot in the garden. From the garden and roof terrace Bellapais Abbey, at one time called St. Mary of the Mountains, can be seen and looks beautiful at night when floodlit. The house is in a quiet part of the village yet the 9 restaurants , coffee shops and village store are only a short stroll away. No need to worry about drinking and driving! In fact the whole village is peaceful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Pathways in the village date back to Crusader times and can lead you high into the mountain range. Historic Kyrenia harbour is about 7 minutes away by car.

The Kyrenia District
The climate in Cyprus is hot to very hot in summer. Mild in winter. Spring is a very popular time to visit not only for the good weather but to see the wild flowers. The months of September & October have excellent weather but not too hot. Northern Cyprus has an abundance of historic ruins and ancient castles and is possibly the most beautiful part of the island. The food and wine is very good and inexpensive. Northern Cyprus is a very safe place to visit. The local people are very friendly and helpful. The coastline has many secluded and sandy beaches and it is still possible to find a deserted beach even in the summer months. Nature lovers may be interested to know that around the end of June, beginning of July ,the turtles come to lay their eggs along the coastline. The eggs hatch in late August to early September and volunteers are welcomed to help guard the nests or to watch the newly hatched baby turtles get down to the waters edge. Historic and heritage sites are found throughout the area. For Golfers a visit to the new championship standard course at the KORINEUM GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is a must. Day passes are available for visitors. (for web site see below) Cyprus is an ideal venue for all year round golfing holidays or just a winter holiday in a milder climate.
