* Escape the Euro Zone!! * This cottage is enchanting. It is very well furnished and equipped. Set in the premier village of Cyprus - Bellapais. The cottage makes an ideal holiday base for a solo traveller, a couple or two friends. ( For two friends sharing there is a very comfortable sofa bed in the bedroom as well as the double divan bed)
*Everything you could need for a lovely holiday.
* Situated in a quiet part of the village for a relaxed holiday. * No through traffic by the cottage but parking outside. * Only a stone's throw away from the lovely village square with its restaurants, bar and coffee shop. * No need to drive to go out for lunch or dinner!
* A couple of minutes walk to the well stocked village shop.
* Private pool, air-conditioning and dishwasher. There are also overhead fans for the summer and two fireplaces for the winter.
* The currency in North Cyprus is the Turkish Lira. * * The electrical sockets and voltage are the same as the UK. * * * Driving on the left

The Kyrenia District
The town is 5 minutes by car from Bellapais.
Kyrenia is a town steeped in history and with a wonderful old harbour and castle.
If you haven't been to Northern Cyprus before why not ask us for a good website where you can take a look at some short videos and photographs of Northern Cyprus - you will be amazed! Pictures speak louder than words!!
Bellapais area
The village of Bellapais is centred round the 12c Abbey.
There are concerts, mostly classical, held in Bellapais Abbey and Kyrenia Castle.
9 restaurants within walking distance of the house.
Some of the nearby historic places of interest are:- Kyrenia Castle - Bellapais Abbey - Kantara Castle - Buffavento Castle - Hillarion Castle.
For a day trip the drive to Salamis Roman Ruins near Famagusta, St Barnabas Church, Othelo's Tower and The Old City of Famagusta is really worth while. A little know fact is that during the days of the Silk Route Famagusta was reputed to be the wealthiest city in the world at that time!
The unspoilt Karpas Peninsular and the Apostolas Andreas Monastery are wonderful to really 'get away from it all'
The whole of the Old City in Nicosia including the old market and historic streets near the Selimiye Mosque (formally the great Latin Cathedral of St Sophia) The Big Inn (The Buyuk Han) - for Cyprus handicrafts, gift shops and lunch in the courtyard.
Turtle watching at the appropriate season.
Walking in the beautiful Besmark Mountains.
A wonderful place for artists.
Romantic for honeymooners or for an anniversary.
Golf, water sports, sailing, fishing, riding, walking, para gliding, tennis at local hotels.
