About the home

Our garden apartment is perfect for a couple or family with 1 child. It has its own private entrance a with a garden . Inside it is basic and open planned. It has a double bed, bathroom with shower and a kitchen.A single bed can be put in for a small child(cot also available). Outside is a patio with table and chairs for meals, deck chairs for lazying in the garden reading a book or simply having a glass of wine. BBQ area.

It is central ,quiet and very relaxing. Situated in centre of town it faces over the main stairway with stores and boutiques. 100m away there is a self-do laundromat, a mini market, bank , bar and restaurant . An easy 2min walk down the main stairway gets you to the water edge where ferries await to get you across the lake.

We are a family run business with English well spoken. Bedding and towels are provided and changed when needed.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Bellagio is a beautiful piece of nature that has been saved from the chaotic modern world.Known as the 'Pearl of the Lake' because of it's position in the centre of the lake surrounded by natures magnificent beautiful scenery. Botanic gardens and villas like Villa Carlotta or Barbianello can be visited . Ferry boat trips or private taxi boats for views of the splenders from the water front view piont.

The Bellagio area

Local dishes like polenta (toc ) and missultin( sun dried fish) , taleggio cheese , pizzocheri( whole wheat pasta dishes) and the lake fish served with risotto can eaten watching the sunset over the mountains with a bottle of good Italian wine. As well as home made pasta dishes there is pizza and gelato.

Arriving from Malpensa airport there is a shuttle bus that brings you to bellagio. Bookings are necessary www.flytolake.com

From Orio ,Bergamo airport there is a bus from Bergamo to Lecco then a train to Varenna and a 15min ferry trip to Bellagio

Cars can be hired here in Bellagio or Milano or Lecco but is not necessary as parking in Bellagio is difficult and there are ferries to get you across the lake.Bellagio has many stairways so a car is not realy of use unless you need to get up into the mountains. We are in the very heart of town so its easy on foot to all facilities.

“Magnificent venue a real feast for the eyes and a wonderful attentive Host.” My wife and I made this trip having made all of the travel arrangements oursevles the final part of which was by ferry late evening from Varena to Bellagio, what a way to arrive. The appartment is a short walk from the water front however it is quite a steep climb through one of the several shoping lanes, my wife and I did it with our one 20 Kilo Bag, taxis are available. The apartment with its wonderful garden is right in the heart of things, no shortage of restaurants, shops, ferry boats, buses, walks or views, The accomadation is pleasently adequate with its coverd outdoors eating area and sunny garden. This is a small chic lake side town where you can do as much or as little as you wish in a pleasant Garden Apartment/unbelieveable location with a pleasent unintrusive host.

The garden was well appreciated by our little Tom :lots of lovely grass to crawl on while we had a glass of wine.

I think it's like a secret garden in the heart of Bellagio. Outside has a big door ..but inside you're all on your own in this lovely little garden where you hardly hear or see anyone.It was peaceful and we felt at home. Thanks Maria .Brandon and Becky.
