We cal it 'La Collinetta' because it is on the hillside, submerged in greenery, peaceful, but at the same time very close to the centre of the most famous tourist resort on Lake Como, Bellagio, so that after a day of enjoying the busy life of the town and visiting the beautiful gardens and villas, or after a boat cruise on Lake Como, you will be able to walk home and relax in the garden.
This is a new comfortable apartment in Bellagio, the pearl of the lake of Como, just 5 minutes walking from the historic centre.
Very close to shopping area, supermarket, bus stop and turistic train stop. Only 100 m from the sporting centre, with solarium, swimming pool, tenniscourt, beachvolley, bar and very good restaurant. The apartment has one double bedoom, one bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, living room with two single sofa beds!and a comunal garden.
We are open all year!!
We also have another delightful bedsit apartment, 2 minutes walk away which is called 'Il Terrazzo'. This has a double bed and sofa bed so can sleep a family of 3 or a small group of friends. The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como is surrounded by mountains, hills valleys and cities of art, has much to offer. It is situated in one of the most economically and industrially important regions (Lombardy) in Northern Italy, nestled between Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda, right on the Swiss boarder, framed by the majesty of the alps, where different cultures have merged over the centuries to form it’s unique and inimitable charm.
The region has a varied climate, generally snowy winters, mild springs and warm summers, but being near the water, never too hot and then we have our mountains to escape to just in case.
Bellagio area
Bellagio is situated at the head of the promontory at the estremity of the vast mountainous peninsula which divides Lake Como, forming three branches, to the west the Como branch, to the east the Lecco branch and to the north the Colico branch. The promontory of Bellagio juts out into the central basin of the lake. This position gives it an extraordinary variety of views and this is one of the reasons why Bellagio has always been known as the "Perla del Lario" - the Pearl of Lake Como. The most ancient part of Bellagio occupies that area at the end of the promontory and is knows as the Borgo. Numerous little characteristic suburbs are scattered both along the coast and on the hill.
The apartment is situated on the hill, so it has a very central position for the life of the town! as well as wonderful views.
How to get there
Lake Como and especially Bellagio, is well served by the 3 airports near Milan - the closest being Bergamo, then Linate and then MalpensaMalpensa, Linate and Bergamo. Airlines are Ryan air, Easyjet, Alitalia, British airways, Flybe and many more Though less than 50 miles from most of the airports, the apartment is about 90 minutes by car, on good roads. Car hire available at the airport includes: Hertz, Avis, Holiday Autos. Further details indoors: The apartment is small and cosy surrounded by a lovely garden and away from traffic. The entrance leads into the living area and well equipped kitchen, wherre there are 2 single sofa beds. The bedroom and bathroom lead off from here. The apartment is in a small quiet block, the other apartments are owned by italians who are hardly ever here. The garden is shared, but rarely used and very secluded and private.
