Ever wanted to visit an idyllic lake side setting situated on right on the lake front? The apartment offer the ideal setting in a peaceful surroundings. The accommodation is so close to the lake you could literally dive into the lake from the balcony window.

The apartment features it's own private garden, balcony and decked area for sunbathing right beside the lake!!

Bellagio is only a 15 minute drive for the italian lakeside village par excellence experience!

Yet here you can relax in total peace and solitide away from the hoardes of tourists and flashing cameras and while away the hours eating authentic cusine, swimming, sunbathing and reading all set to the back drop of world renowned lake and mountain scenery.

The emphasis on the accommodation is relaxation admist beauty. La Cavagnola boasts the perfect get away from it all break. Tv and dvd are available as is a hifi for you to listen to your favourite music whilst you take in the views or rustle up a feast of local produce. The kitchen itself offers all mod cons.

you are never far from activity if need be (water sports here in Lezzano, shopping and sightseeing just 15 minutes away in Bellagio or dining here in the village itself be it the local authentic pizzeria or fish restaurant right on the lake!)

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Lake Como famed for it's beauty, tranquility, relaxing lake waters and majestic mountains-the reality definitely lives up to the hype!
A favourite holiday haunt of the rich and famous from Pliny to Edward & Mrs Simpson, Madonna to George Clooney holidaymakers have been drawn for decades for it's mesmerising lake and mountain scenery and tranquil lifestyle that never seems to fail to rejuvinate oneself.
The gentle breeze whipped up from the lake serves as a welcome interlude from balmy summer days whilst the winter months enjoy show topped mountain scenery accompanied by cool mountain air.
The lake is for relaxation, sipping a cappuccino and brioche, dining out on the local regional dishes, fish risotto, polenta or rabbit are local dishes, however restaurants cater for all eclectic italian regional food from spaghetti with a simple tomato sauce to roast chicken cooked simply with rosemary and lemon.
Favourite activities amongst returning tourists include hiring a boat for a special day at near by Bellagio or you can drive there in 15 minutes or less with it's famous cobbled streets, silk, art and leather capped off by unforgettable scenery. From here you can take a short ferry ride to the unquestionably beautiful lake side village of Varenna or a short ferry ride into the scenic centre of Como with it's 14th Century grand cathederal, musuem devoted to Alessandro Volta ,the theatre staging many concertos or for divine piazza's, narrow paved streets, cafe culture, lazy lake side walks and italian living par excellence. However, be warned, once Lake Como ensnares you it has you for life.

Perfectly positioned between Milan and Switzerland you are never far away from an enthralling day out be it a scenic drive to San Moritz ( 2 hours) or shopping till you drop in Milan ( 1 and 1/2 hours)

The Bellagio / Lezzeno area

Lezzano is the ideal "get away from it all" holiday retreat to enjoy Lake Como to its fullest. The tranquil lake side village is 15 minutes drive to Bellagio or less than 30 minutes to the city of Como.
The beach at near by Faggeto Lario is just 15 minutes drive , the nearest restaurant just 1km from the apartment. Unspolit by tourism, you will be living here amongst the welcoming locals in the heart of the italian community which means you get to sample real italian lakeside living as it should be.
Famous villas such as Carlotta (for the gardens) and Balbinello (for breathtaking beauty, as viewed in the latest James Bond film) are all accessible by ferry or boat hire.
The village here in Lezzano boasts some authentic restaurants and pizzerias, quiet bars and a local mini market for those looking to conjour up a special dish or two in the well equipped kitchen. Bellagio, 15 mins drive, has a larger supermarket for your weekly shop.
The real beauty of this apartment is it's tranquil position, lakeside location, private garden, decked area for sunbathing and opportunity to dive into the lake and enjoy the waters from your very own lake side home.
Rustic cuisine set within your own garden or dine indoors by day (air conditioned) or by candle light.
The holiday should leave you relaxed, refreshed and invigorated after a week or two of lake side dolce vita!
The nearest ferry stop is less than 5 minutes drive and the location of Pogano Lario means you can easily access all parts of the lake (in fact a Certain Mr Clooney lives across the water in Laglio on the opposite side of the lake!) If you are looking for a relaxing get away far from the madding crowd where you can soak up some sun, indulge in a little dolce vita, and saunter about italian style Pognano Lario will leaving you hungry for more of the same!

A very enjoyable stay at Cavagnola. Beautiful apartment, spectacular views across the Lake. Really enjoyed Bellagio and Varenna. Fantastic food and restaurants in Bellagio. Would recommend the train service to Milan very cheap and quick (went from Varenna). Wish we had booked 2 weeks so we could have explored some more.

WELCOME TO LEZZENO !!

Have had a brilliant stay here in Lezzeno. Views from apartment are stunning and have fed ducks and swans from the balcony. A definate visit is to the Hotel Restaurant especially if trying the Pear “ravioli” with local cheese sauce which is delicious. If you wish to have the entrecote steak do not have starter or side dishes unless you have a huge appetite!

Loved our stay at beautiful La Cavagnola! Explored many of the unique towns around the lake: Nesso, Lenno, Bellano, Tremezzo, Bellagio, Lezzeno, Menaggio, Como, Lecco, Cernobbio. Fantastic day trip to Milan, Bergamo, Lugano. Saw some great firework displays and a couple of equivalent evening thunder storms! Enjoyed the beautiful views from the apartment and some wonderful meals in the outdoor dining areas. Swans and ducks watched the fish below. Had fun (trying to) converse with the friendly neighbours.
No need to go to Bellagio for food as Lezzeno has a couple of shops to serve our needs. We look forward to our return to Lago di Como.

So sorry to have to leave after only one week. We just love the apartment, so clean and comfortable. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and we took full advantage of them. Your suggestions as to restaurants were right on the money, Baba yaga was excellent, great food and a great price, also we enjoyed the Trattoria San Giacomo, friendly staff!!

We took a side trip to Venice for a day and a night and as pretty and interesting as it is we could hardly wait to get back to the peace and quiet of our slice of heaven. Hopefully we will be able to return some day soon and we wouldn’t hesitate to return to la Cavagnola but hopefully a longer stay. Ciao for Now!

The big rooms and the views are brilliant and the places around are really interesting.
The views are fantastic and we’ve enjoyed travelling around the Lake by boat – there are some lovely villas to see and towns such as Como and Bellagio. A great holiday.
