The apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake, plus a small dining terrace overlooking the gardens to the lake. Pool and tennis nearby.

Located in the heart of Limonta a typical Italian village, the apartment is perfect for 2 people but can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. It also offers the option of alfresco dining on the balcony or lake view terrace. The nearby Bellagio Sporting Club is available at a special rate for those wishing to take advantage of its swimming pool and tennis courts and elegant restaurant. The property makes an ideal location for those who want to explore the many delights of Lake Como and its surroundings.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Lake Como is the most scenic of the three Italian lakes, surrounded by high mountains and dramatic scenery.
An inverted 'Y' with the towns of Lecco and Como at the bottom of each leg, Bellagio sits at the junction of the two branches. Explore Como, regarded as the silk capital of Italy, where you will find many silk outlets and fashion stores.

As the Alps cascade down into the aqua blue waters of the lake (some 1400 feet deep), you will find many beautiful villas and gardens lining the shore.

Bellagio ‘The Pearl of the Lake’ is a 5 minute drive away, where you will find a good selection of shops, excellent restaurants and art gallery’s. The ferry boat terminal provides easy access by either hydrofoil, car ferry or steamer to discover the many towns and villages around the lake such as Varenna, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como as well as the numerous villas and gardens you can visit. These include Villa Carlotta, Monastero, Cypresi, Melzi and Villa Balbianello (home to ‘Star Wars’ and 007 ‘Casino Royale’).

The pretty village of Limonta is a perfect base for walking, with many well kept paths to choose from starting in the town square. These walks offer scenic views of the lake and its surrounding countryside. The local trattoria restaurant is a short 8 minute walk, as is the ferry boat jetty where you can take the boat to many of the different towns and villages along the lake.

For those who want to head further a field Milan, Bergamo, Lugano and St. Moritz are less than a 90 minute drive away.

How to get there

Lake Como is well served by the 3 airports near Milan - Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo. A variety of operators fly to these airports including:
Alitalia (Malpensa, Linate & Bergamo), British Airways (Malpensa & Linate), Easyjet (Malpensa), Ryanair (Bergamo)
Though less than 50 miles from most of the airports, the apartment is about 90 minutes by car, on good roads. Car hire available at the airport includes:
Hertz, Avis, Holiday Autos.
