Lombardy is the most populous region of Italy and also the one with the highest number of provinces and municipalities. Has its capital in the city of Milan and is bordered to the north by Switzerland (Canton Ticino and Canton Graubünden), to the west with Piedmont, on the east by the Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige and south of Emilia-Romagna.

The climate of Lombardy, as defined in the context of continental climate is very diverse because of the different natural conformations present in the area: mountains, hills, lakes and plains. In general, the summers are hot and strong continentality means that on some occasions the temperatures are above 35 ° C. But in recent months of the year are also frequent storms and sudden showers also accompanied by hail. Winters are cold, this time of year alternating rain and snow also abundant. Lombardy has the best airport system in the nation, made ??up of four airports (Malpensa and Linate, Orio al Serio and Montichiari) has developed mainly along the foothills, at the head of which is the international airport of Malpensa 2000 that manages most of the passenger and freight traffic in the region. Linate airport has the task of "City airport" in the capital, Orio al Serio is the basis of low-cost connections to various national and international couriers and cargo, cargo Montichiari is specialized on long-haul charter flights and connections region.

Bellagio is an Italian town of 3,085 inhabitants in the Province of Como in Lombardy. The municipality belongs to the mountain community of Larian Triangle and its territory is one of the ideal vertices of the Larian Triangle.

Hot spot is famous for its picturesque location right on the branch of Lake Como in its southern branches, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north.

Villa Serbelloni.

This villa dominates the town's historic center. It can be reached from Via Garibaldi, and is currently owned by the Rockefeller Foundation in New York. It was built in the fifteenth century on the site of an old castle razed in 1375 (according to some sources, in ancient times there stood one of the two villas on Lake Como Pliny the Younger, the Tragoedia). Villa Serbelloni was later remodeled several times. Today you can visit only the gardens, a picturesque maze of alleys surrounded by vegetation groves with trees and other exotic plants, rose bushes, fields of flowers. The paths, as well as the villa, leading to the Capuchin Monastery and Sfondrata, a residence on the branch of Lecco, built, in fact, by the family of Sfondrati. In 1788 he came into possession of Alessandro Serbelloni (1745-1826), which enriches it with precious decorations and works of art from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. In 1905 he became property of turning into a luxury hotel. In 1959 it became the property of the Rockefeller Foundation in New York to bequest of the princess, of American origin, Ella Thurn und Taxis who had purchased in 1930. The villa is home to international conferences, often held by American scholars, housed in the former residence.

Villa Melzi d'Eril.

Villa Melzi is instead on the lakefront west, on the coast road leading from Bellagio to Como. Its park is decorated with ancient artifacts, such as the third century BC Etruscan urn and two Egyptian sculptures of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries BC The house is still inhabited and is not open, but they are available the small museum - housed in a pavilion near, with archaeological collections, paintings and sculptures (including a head attributed to Michelangelo) - and the neoclassical chapel, at the southern end the park. Also note a Venetian gondola brought to Bellagio by Napoleon and the statue of Dante and Beatrice, who inspired a famous Franz Liszt sonata. Stayed there, among others, also Stendhal.
