Lovely one-roomed flat situated on the first floor of a house in a common garden, with reserved and numbered parking place ( nr.9 ) in the court. There is a comfortable balcony with table, armchairs and awning, a bathroom with WC, shower and hairdryer, a double bed, a comfortable single bed, a fully equipped kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, iron and ironing board, a small living room with table, chairs, TV, CD-,DVD- and MP3- player. Upstairs there is a solarium with sun-beds, table and chairs. View over the lake and swimming pool of the Sporting Club.
The flat terrazzo and equipped with air conditioner. We also have another delightful apartment, 2 minutes walk away which is called "la collinetta" . This has a double bed, a double sofa bed and 1 single sofa bed, so can sleep a family of 5 or a small group of friends. It is fully equipped and has a beautiful garden view lake and parking.

In front: Bellagio Sporting Club, with swimming pool, tennis, beach volley, open bar and very good restaurant ( special discount tickets for swimming pool on demand ). 10 minutes walking to the better beach of Bellagio, with restaurant bar !! 5 minutes walking to supermarket of Bellagio. 10 minutes walking to the historic centre of Bellagio, with shopping area, bars, restaurants, boat excursion, ferry-boat and taxi-boat. In front of their apartment there are also bus-stop and touristic train. 5 minutes walking to beautiful gardens of VILLA MELZI!! 5 minutes walking to Lido Discoteque!!!

It is no mistake that Bellagio is called the "pearl" of Lake Como. It is undoubtedly the most famous resort on the lake. For centuries, its scenic location has enchanted artists and writers, not only from Italy, but also from abroad. It is situated on the tip of a headland that divides the lake into the two legs of Como and Lecco.
With its mild winter and pleasant summer, its historical town centre, its lush and varied flora, Bellagio is the ideal place for those who like calm and walks. For those who are more energetic, it also offers many sport and leisure activities.
Bellagio is famous for its villas and their parks. Here, along with the local-flora, there are rare and exotic plants in splendid Italian or English style gardens. The park of Villa Serbelloni is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Italy .
The following are some of the most beautiful villas in the area: Villa Melzi, Villa Poldi Pezzoli, Villa Giulia, and Villa Belmonte.
Bellagio offers a wide selection of trips and excursions that can be made on foot, by car or by boat.
One of the most famous destination is the park of Monte San Primo, which can be reached by car (14 km). From here it takes about three hours on foot to reach the summit.
There is a good ferry service, which stops off at the villages on the opposite shore of the lake. The fastest means of transport is the hy-drofoil, which serves the whole lake. There is also a car-ferry service which links Bellagio to Varenna and Cadenabbia. The gastronomic specialities of the area are varied and excellent: fish from the lake (agoni, trout and misultitt), polenta tocc and vuncia, and desserts, such as mataloc

Situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, Lake Como offers an extremely varied landscape. Its shores features a succession of pastures, woods, harsh and impressive rocks, charming villages facing the lake, magnificent mansions with beautiful gardens. The middle of the lake, where its three branches come together, has the mildest climate and offers the broadest view. This point can be reached by boat. Here you will enjoy a lovely view of the whole promontory of Bellagio, of the northern Grigna mountains overlooking Valsassina, and, with clear skies, of the upper basin with the Alps in the background. Along the shores, in particular from Cernobbio to Gravedona and Bellagio, you will see wonderful villas and gardens with plenty of flowers as well as exotic and rare plants. For instance, Villa d'Este in Cernobbio, which is today a luxurious hotel, has a magnificent garden as well as Villa Passalacqua in Moltrasio. The wonderful Villa Arconati dominates the Punta di Balbianello in Lenno and is one of the most famous villas in the Tremezzina area together with Villa Carlotta, which is rich in artistic masterpieces and natural attraction, with its garden full of blossoming flowers. Located on the opposite shore at Bellagio, other Villas, like Villa Serbelloni, which has been turned into a Grand Hotel and Villa Melzi, with its marvellous botanic garden, are really delightful. The Lecco branch offers the harsh but very suggestive view of the southern Grigna Mountains (2,184 mts.), of dolomitic origin, and of the Corni di Canzo (1,373 mts.), which slope down towards the lake and form charming creeks. Besides the peculiar views of the Lecco branch of the lake which turns southwards, there are natural springs like Fiumelatte, described by Leonardo da Vinci and the impressive Orrido di Bellano situated not far from the Renaissance Villa Monastero at Varenna.

You can judge for yourself: from the town centre to Villa Melzi you will find an avenue of trees and flowers with the intoxicating perfume of precious camphor, not to mention the old town resting on the slopes of the mountain surrounded by green woods!

KAREN KIRWAN IRELAND The apartment was still very adequate and spacious enough for 3 adults. We ate at the Sports club twice in the 5 days we were there and the food was excellent, we would highly recommend it. The staff are also very friendly. The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre but this is okay.
