About the home

Our cosy apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of the main house.It is perfect for a couple, but has there is a sofa bed aswell if needed. A basically equipped apartment for your holiday
Relax indoors or take an easy stroll down the cobbled stoned stairs to get to the waterfront. Along the way are boutiques and curio stores .
The apartment has an open-planned lounge and kitchen area with a lovely lake view that can be enjoyed while having your meals. There is a bathroom with a shower and the main bedroom is up some stairs like a cosy loft.
There is a sofa bed so it can be let out for 4 people aswell
There is free wi fi and ceiling fans in all the apartments

Parking in Bellagio is difficult due to our triangular shape and characteristic stairways. Free parking is available 200m from the apartment. A car is not necessary asthe ferries get you all over the lake.

Further details outdoors:
10min away is a Tennis club with a public pool.
2km is a swimming area ,away from ferry and boat traffic.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Bellagio is a beautiful piece of nature that has been saved from the chaotic modern world.Known as the 'Pearl of the Lake' because of it's position in the centre of the lake surrounded by natures magnificent beautiful scenery. Botanic gardens and villas like Villa Carlotta or Barbianello can be visited . Ferry boat trips or private taxi boats for views of the splenders from the water front view piont.

The Bellagio area

Local dishes like polenta (toc ) and missultin( sun dried fish) , taleggio cheese , pizzocheri( whole wheat pasta dishes) and the lake fish served with risotto can eaten watching the sunset over the mountains with a bottle of good Italian wine. As well as home made pasta dishes there is pizza and gelato.

Arriving from Malpensa airport there is a shuttle bus that brings you to bellagio. Bookings are necessary www.flytolake.com

From Orio ,Bergamo airport there is a bus from Bergamo to Lecco then a train to Varenna and a 15min ferry trip to Bellagio

Cars can be hired here in Bellagio or Milano or Lecco but is not necessary as parking in Bellagio is difficult and there are ferries to get you across the lake.Bellagio has many stairways so a car is not realy of use unless you need to get up into the mountains. We are in the very heart of town so its easy on foot to all facilities.

“Perfect” Sandi and I stayed in the loft for a week. It sits on top of the world that is Bellagio, truly central to the town with laundromat, auto teller, ice creams, breads, hams, cheeses, essentials, restaurants, shops, everything really. The view from our apartment is to die for, overlooking the lake and the mountains down onto the town and the never ending movement of ferries so close below. Maria has achieved something here and we have been lucky to be part of it. We both came up lame from an exhausting 3 weeks prior and Maria assisted us with referrals apart from being so helpful and friendly with everything. The upstairs loft is just perfect for a good night's sleep. We will miss the bells of Bellagio.

“Live Like A Local in Bellagio” Maria's appartments are the ideal place to stay in Bellagio, We spent 4 nights in two of her appartments. She could not have been more helpful during our time there - even doing my ironing! We felt like locals, stepping out onto the cobbled streets right in the heart of the action.

“Perfect place, could not fault it.” My boyfriend and I booked to stay in this accommodation as we did not want to stay in a standard faceless hotel. We could not have been more pleased with it. The apartment is in the heart of the town and it was spotless. It was perfectly equipped with cooking facilities although we didn't actually use them, prefering to eat out. Maria was very helpful and even let us leave our bags in her apartment after we had checked out. It was our first visit to Como and I think it has to be the most beautiful place I have been in Europe.

“Would like to visit again” We stayed in the smaller apartment, because, being light sleepers, this was advised as the quietest by the owner Maria. Indeed it was very quiet and very restful. The apartment was clean and had the necessary equipment; however if there was anything else we needed for cooking Maria provided it She even gave us herbs from her garden. You could not wish for a more hospitable reception. The apartment was perfectly situated for walking, the ferries and buses and there were plenty of restaurants. Food stores were expensive in the centre, but we found one in the suburbs about 20min walk which was cheaper and had a better selection.

“Picture perfect!” My husband and I spent four wonderful days at this apartment and what an incredible view we had from our bedroom. The apartment was very clean and everything looked new. The spacious bathroom was unexpected and a treat. The location was perfect and the apartment was pretty quiet considering the location. We were lucky to be able to sleep with the french door open in our bedroom every night as the weather was so nice. The noisiest thing was the birds in the morning. Maria and her family were very nice and she was ready to help out with anything you needed. We would definitely stay here again, we loved everything about it. A special thanks to Maria for making our stay so pleasant.

“Wonderful apartment in the heart of Bellagio” We had an amazing stay for 2 nights in this apartment. The location and friendly service could not be beaten. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen and suitable appliances. The view from the apartment is breathtaking and if we ever return to this fairytale like spot in Lake Como we will not think twice about staying there again. Response: Thank you for your kind review.
