Tucked away in a tranquil yet centrally located setting in a pretty townhouse in the beautiful resort town of Bellagio, this third floor apartment (ID 405) is the ideal place from which to relax, unwind and explore Lake Como!

The stylish air-conditioned apartment features a modern and bright open plan living room with a comfortable sofa, a Satellite TV, radio and a well laid-out dining area. A Juliette balcony also features as well as a pretty second balcony which is adorned with plants and flowers and where guests can enjoy a morning coffee and brioche in the sunshine! Partial lake views can be enjoyed as well as views over the charming terracotta roof tops of Bellagio.

From the apartment guests are ideally situated to explore the beautiful golden triangle town of Bellagio. The medieval passageways tucked away behind the later Victorian cafe lined promenade plays host to a wide variety of boutique shops selling local artisan products, specialist jewellery and designer fashion and accessories. Cafes and lake view restaurants can be enjoyed and the lakefront Villa Melzi gardens can be reached easily on foot along the lovely floral promenade.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.

Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries.

It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations.

All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.

Warming, inspriing and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto
narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.

The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

From the beautiful peninsular of Bellagio guests can also explore the many interesting local villages by foot and by car.

A very convenient car and passenger ferry service also operates the ‘golden triangle’ route from Bellagio to the romantic eastern lakeside town of Varenna with its many pretty vistas and restaurants and also to the vibrant western lakeside town of Menaggio with its Lido and shops; as well as to Cadenabbia and Tremezzo where the famous Villa Carlotta is located and where a wide choice of cafes and restaurants can be found.

Bellagio:
The Resort town of Bellagio is one of the famous ‘Golden Triangle’ towns of Lake Como and has been highly regarded ever since the European aristocracy begun a love affair with the town from the early Victorian period.

Nowadays the town welcomes visitors as never before, with a wide variety of lakefront Cafes, Gelatarias, Restaurants and Boutique and Jewellery shops where Italian made leather and silk goods are sold. A beautiful and very romantic promenade leads visitors to the famous and exuberant Hotel Villa Serbellione and also to the historical Villa Melzi where visitors can explore the varied and far reaching landscaped lakefront Gardens, which are open to the public.

Visitors can explore the town by bike, foot or car. A car is highly advisable for visitors staying in the area for convenience and so that the Lake is more accessible.

Alternatively if you wish to explore the other famous Resort towns of Varenna and Menaggio a frequent Passenger and Car Ferry service operates from the town throughout the season.

Guestbook for Bellagio Vista

We had a great stay in Bellagio.The flat was great- an excellent location, easy to find, and comfortable. Yasmin and Tiiziana were both very helpful.

As to sight seeing- we loved the tour of the Rockefeller estate- Pietra was a super guide.

The trees/gardens at the Melvi estate were awesome.

We found the ferries very fun and useful.

I think Bellagio was by far the best town to be in on Lake Como and renting a flat was definitely the way to go, grazie mille and hope to work with your group again.
