The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region

Aquitaine - land of water with its multitude of healing hot springs, inland rivers, lake complexes and endless sandy beaches, lends itself to many visitors attracted to the region for its legendary surf breaks, sailing, therapeutic thermal spas, or simply lazing on the beach.
The forests, a designated Regional Park, is a treasure trove of flora and fauna with some 270 different species of migrating birds. To the outdoor enthousiast, these forests can be explored via the endless paths either on foot, horseback or bicycle (the Landes 500kms of dedicated cycle paths).

The town of Dax is renowed for the health giving effects of its warm spa waters, the most famous being the Fountain of Nehe where people come to recover their health and relax. The Fountain discharges 2,400,000 litres of water per day at a temperature of 64 degrees C, making it one of the largest in France. Towards the southern end of this region, where the sandy beaches suddenly rise to high cliffs and inlets with a backdrop of the Pyrenees, wonderful places to visit such as Bayonne with its inner fortified walls, St Jean de Luz, Biarritz for centuries the playground of the rich and offering superb cuisine, al fresco dining, shopping and excellent nightlife in a wonderful warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Nothing quite prepares one though for the humbling experience of spending a day in the Pyrenees National Park. With its misty peaks green foothills, masses of waterfalls and endless forests where beauty abounds, is truely an experience not to be missed.

Belis area

The local village of Bélis is less than 5 minutes away and offers a very friendly bar and restaurant. Brocas boasts its superb fishing and boating lake, whilst Labrit and Roquefort offer a wide choice of bars, shops, banks, butchers and supermarkets.
The nearest large town of Mont de Marsan offers all the major supermarkets and nightclubs within 20 min by car.
Tennis in nearby village and golf within 20 minutes drive.

Budget airlines to: Biarritz, Pau, and Bordeaux within easy driving distance of the channel ports and euro tunnel

25% to be paid at time of reservation.
The balance to be paid one month before arrival.
A caution of 100£ will be asked for on arrival, against any breakages.
