This property is very convenient for touring throughout Northern Ireland to the Giant's Causeway, the Mountains of Mourne, the G iant's Causeway and further afield. Sporting activities and the attractions of city life along with relaxing seaside and mountainous scenery are readily available. The famous Titanic Quarter, the Public Record Office, Museums, Theatres and much more are easily accessible along with an abundance of good restaurants where breakfasts, lunches and dinners are readily available.. Stormont Park, the home of Northern Ireland's Assembly is nearby. A metro bus serving Belfast City stops just around the corner. Pease note that the accommodation is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Addresses of dog kennels available on request.

The Belfast region

Belfast is a city situated on the mouth of the River Lagan in a saucer like position between the Cavehill and the Castlereagh Hills. The East of the city gives way to the drumlins of Co. Down.

The Linen Industry, Ropemaking, and Shipbuilding are part of the Belfast's history now. The Titanic Quarter has been developed in the former shipyards. King John is claimed to have visited Dundonald which is fast becoming part of Belfast. The surrounding hills are a pleasant setting for what was once a thriving village with blacksmiths and mills.

Belfast is well served with cinemas, theatres, restaurants and shopping areas and the easily accessible Titanic Quarter. It enjoys the presence of two universities and is well served with many churches and two catherdrals. Entertainment of all sorts is readily available and the Belfast Festival is now in its fiftieth year. Public transport by bus and train is available within and beyond Belfast. Belfor Self Catering is well served with a Metro Bus Service number 4 b (Coopers Mill)which has bus stops within a short distance of the property. This service operates from the City Centre.

Family research is popular among visitors. The Public Record Office is very convenient too. With the road system out of Belfast visits to all parts of N.I. can be made in a day.

"A real home away from home"

This house is like a real home rather than a typical holiday house. Our hostess, Maria, is lovely, and could not have been more warmly welcoming. The beds are excellent, the kitchen equipped very generously, and having two bathrooms was a luxury. Being located a little distance out of the city in a quiet residential development, the house is very peaceful. There is public transport, but having a car was an advantage. We would have enjoyed a longer stay here.

I try to provide an Irish welcome and make available all I would like to have if I was one of the guests. On this occasion we were experiencing the warmest weather for 30 years!!!
